If you’re still lining up putts with a plain side stamp or scribbling your own line on your golf ball, then Titleist have the upgrade that might just level up your putting.
Lining up putts can be a challenge for even the best of golfers. I for one will take every bit of assistance I can take on the greens.
Therefore, it was interesting to learn that Titleist has expanded its AIM alignment technology beyond the Pro V1 family and into AVX, Tour Soft, Velocity and TruFeel offerings for 2026. In doing so they have brought tour-inspired visuals to more affordable options.
And with testing suggesting it helps to deliver up to 35% greater accuracy, this isn’t just about looks. It could be the simplest way to start holing more putts.

How it works
The concept is a simple one. Titleist believes clearer visuals leads to a more consistent aim.
The brands has worked with both elite players and everyday golfers, studying how they align putts and what visual cues they trust most.
They found around 65% of Titleist players on tour already use alignment markings of some kind.
The early AIM designs were inspired by the most commonly used alignment aids, which was a long, straight line on down the side of the ball.

Titleist also created a proprietary system to measure how accurately golfers could aim at a target. This system tracked left-to-right alignment and gathered thousands of data points during testing.
The results showed that golfers using AIM designs produced a tighter dispersion pattern compared to those using a standard side stamp.
Titleist AIM Golf Balls: The line-up
Titleist’s AVX, Tour Soft, Velocity and TruFeel models join the much-coveted Pro C1 range that feature their advanced alignment designs.

AVX AIM 360

The AVX model features a 360-degree alignment design that wraps around the entire circumference of the ball.
The marking gradually softens which is designed to provide a more natural aiming aid for greater accuracy.
Titleist also explains that this is a golf ball best suited to those looking for lower amounts of spin, a more penetrating ball flight and a very soft feel.
Short game control is improved heavily thanks to a softer urethane cover which provides greater stopping power when hitting into greens.
Additionally, long game performance is far from being abandoned. A faster core formulation and a re-engineered high flex casing layer makes sure of that.
Tour Soft AIM Performance

The Tour Soft includes an extended three-line alignment system. This design aims to provide a more defined, clearer and structured visual alignment aid.
As far as on-course performance is concerned, the brand believes it delivers exceptional performance from tee to green.
New for 2026 is a change to the dimple design, as well as a new core dimension and elastomer cover blend.
These additions look to bring about a more consistent flight, a more efficient stopping power and a very soft feel.
The alignment is available in blue and black or red and black.
Velocity AIM Performance

The Velocity features a bold arrow-style alignment design in orange and black. This makes it the most visually distinctive option in the range.
Equally, this is a golf ball built for golfers who priories distance above anything else. Every layer of the golf ball features new advancements that increase distances, lower long game and promote a penetrating ball flight.
TruFeel AIM 360

TruFeel also features a 360-degree alignment design, but with a more defined red arrow pattern.
This is the softest golf ball Titleist produces. It is designed to deliver long distances with a very soft feel and consistent green side spin.
