Lexi Thompson is one of the best American players of recent times, with a major title among several LPGA Tour victories.

The American became a record breaker at the age of just 12, when she became the youngest player to ever qualify for the US Women’s Open. She also became the youngest winner on both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour, winning on both at 16. Thompson had turned professional a year earlier, at 15-years-old.

Thompson secured her first, and to date, only, major win when she was 19. The American was the victor at the Kraft Nabisco (now Chevron Championship) to become the second youngest major champion in women’s golfing history. That win is one of 11 LPGA Tour titles, and 15 professional victories in total. The American then played on the PGA Tour in October 2023, playing at the Shriners Children’s Open.

She became the youngest American to play in the Solheim Cup when she made her debut in the competition in 2013. Thompson has gone on to become a pivotal part of the American team, playing in every edition of the biennial tournament since, with the 2023 edition being her sixth appearance.
