RBC Heritage preview: TV times and betting tips
It’s another behind-closed-doors event at Harbour Town this week. Here’s where you can watch it and who we think will win
Following the success of the Charles Schwab Challenge it’s another incredible field at Harbour Town this week. Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka are among those teeing up on the South Carolina coast, but Phil Mickelson has opted against playing two weeks in a row and there’s still no sign of Tiger Woods. So who takes top spot, here are my RBC Heritage betting tips…

Course stats: Par 71; 7,099 yards
Course summary: This Pete Dye design is a coastal links famous for its picturesque lighthouse. Players must negotiate strong winds, multiple hazards and some of the smallest greens on the PGA Tour.
Purse: $7.1 million

RBC Heritage betting tips: Each-way tips
Gary Woodland (40/1 with bet365) had an excellent tournament at Colonial before an anti-climactic final round. Woodland led the field for Strokes Gained: Approach to the Green and finished in the top 10 for Scrambling, both of which are key stats for this course. Add into the mix a 100% record for sand saves, the current US Open champion definitely has the skillset to go close here.
Matt Kuchar (45/1) is somewhat of a course specialist at Harbour Town. Since winning the tournament in 2014 Kuchar has had three top-10 finishes, including a 2nd in 2019. Kuchar’s consistency off the tee – he’s ranked 13th in driving accuracy – and his ability to recover when out of position has already proven to be a recipe for success at this course.
Tyrrell Hatton (60/1) did not play at Colonial last week, but the Englishman was in fine form prior to the break including his PGA Tour breakthrough at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Hatton currently leads the field for Strokes Gained: Tee to Green and Approach to the Green. His stats this year may go some way to explaining his run of 13 consecutive cuts made, and his 100% top-10 record in four events played so far this season. A player with excellent links form in the UK and surely one to consider.
RBC Heritage betting tips: The long shot
JT Poston (110/1) played a very consistent game across four rounds to achieve a T10 finish at Colonial. Poston, who finished 6th in last year’s tournament, accumulated some impressive stats at Colonial, including 2nd in Scrambling, 2nd in Proximity to Hole, 5th Off the Tee, and tied-5th for Driving Accuracy. These stats, especially when combined with recent course form, make Poston an interesting outsider for Harbour Town.
RBC Heritage betting tips: NCG top tip
Bryson DeChambeau (18/1) was the talk of the town at Colonial. Using the lockdown period to bulk up, DeChambeau put his new physique to work by muscling his way to the top of the driving distance statistics. Although driving distance may not be as much of an advantage at Harbour Town, DeChambeau has two top-five finishes at the tournament in his last four appearances. He also led the field in Scrambling at Colonial, and tied 3rd for GIR.
After receiving a lot of media attention for his physical transformation, DeChambeau also demonstrated he has the ability to play well on courses that might not suit his aggressive style of golf.
