AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Betting Tips

The Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the next Signature Event on the PGA Tour, so we have some tips for the action in California, as well as for the events on the DP World Tour and LIV Golf

It’s one of the best non-major weeks on the golf calendar but who are our betting tips to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

England’s Justin Rose was the victor on the Californian coastline last year, as he won on the PGA Tour for the first time in over four years.

Who will take victory at Pebble Beach this time round? Matt Chivers gives us his betting tips for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf betting tips and preview

Date: February 1-4, 2024

Defending champion: Justin Rose (-18)

Jordan Spieth @ 20/1 with Oddschecker

Jordan Spieth was gleaming with positivity after coming third at The Sentry at the start of this season: “There’s nothing but optimism about what the season can bring at this point, regardless of what I’m trying to do off the course.”

This is just want you want when the three-time major champion returns to one of his favourite tour stops – Pebble Beach. He’s had five top-10s and a win in 11 appearances.

Form is sparse at this time of the season, but Spieth has a great record at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and although it is arguably the strongest field in the event’s history, I would be stunned if he didn’t go close to winning on the PGA Tour for the 14th time.

Best of the rest…

Kevin Yu: Kevin Yu has had a scintillating start to the 2024 PGA Tour season. He came tied for third at The American Express and tied for sixth at the Farmers Insurance Open.

2023 was a tough season for Yu having missed 11 cuts, but he still showed promise with three top-10s and he came tied for seventh at last year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am too.

100/1 seems a bit steep for a player who is trending in the right direction and has built valuable confidence ahead of a Signature Event.

Keith Mitchell: Keith Mitchell has played solidly at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in the last two years, coming fourth and 12th.

He impressively made 22 cuts in 30 events last season and made five top-10s along the way.

A finish in tied for ninth at The American Express could also set the tone for a solid week ahead, and at 100/1, I think this one-time PGA Tour winner should be around the top 10, if not near the top of the leaderboard.

What else is going on in the world of golf this week?

Along with the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, there is also DP World Tour action, while LIV Golf returns for 2024.

Following the first transfer window, free agency and the big money signing of Jon Rahm, LIV Golf makes its bow for the new year, returning to Mayakoba.

Meanwhile, the DP World Tour’s run in the Middle East continues with a brand new tournament. The Bahrain Championship takes place this week, the fourth event in four weeks in this part of the world.

If you’re thinking of betting on this week’s golf, then here are our tips for success…

Joaquin Niemann @ 14/1 to win LIV Golf Mayakoba with Oddschecker

Joaquin Niemann means business in 2024. He won down in Australia on the DP World Tour at the end of 2023 and he travelled to Dubai to finish fourth at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

He was on the hunt for world ranking points, and it seems he has a point to prove. He came 11th in Mayakoba in the LIV Golf League last year and made five top-10s finishes throughout the season too.

The Chilean is still ranked in the top 70 in the world and he is one of LIV’s outstanding young stars and at 14/1, this appears a huge price for an established winner on the main tours, when an inactive Jon Rahm is priced as low as 4/1.

Aaron Cockerill @ 80/1 to win the Bahrain Championship with Oddschecker

Yes, 80/1. But look at Aaron Cockerill’s recent record on the DP World Tour. Before coming tied for 25th at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, he came tied for fourth at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic,

Sitting 11th in the Race to Dubai rankings, the Canadian is ranked 13th in driving accuracy and 20th in stroke average in the early stages of this season.

Of course, Thorbjorn Olesen and Rasmus Hojgaard are the players many will look at this week, but Cockerill represents huge each way value and looks like a player teetering on the edge of winning his first title on the tour.
