Golf fans and players will never get tired of returning to Pebble Beach. The Pro-Am is one of the most popular events for fans as they can see not only their favourite players, but favourite celebrities playing golf.
I’m tackling the second Signature Event of the 2025 PGA Tour season with four selections, as I did with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, which went well but also failed to find the winner.
Typically, Rory McIlroy was my banker but he came tied for fourth. A double-bogey on the 72nd hole also cost Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen a place which might’ve returned our readers some decent pocket change at 80/1.
A new week brings new opportunities. There is a top-class field heading to Monterrey Peninsula which includes Scottie Scheffler making his seasonal reappearance and first since suffering a puncture wound at home on Christmas day.
He is at the top of the market with McIlroy, which is no surprise. They are both serial winners, Scheffler more so, having won nine times in 2024, including the Masters and the Olympic Gold Medal.
I’m going to look a little further down the field, hopefully combining some value and the probability of who will win the AT&T Pebble Pro-Am.

Collin Morikawa @ 12/1
Collin Morikawa started his season well at the Sentry where he came second. He had a very good season in 2024 without winning. He statistically excelled off the tee, particularly in accuracy and total driving.
This helped him to finish second twice, make eight top-10s, and tie for third in the Masters. His return to form was welcome and he came tied for 14th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am in 2024. He also finished in a tie for 35th in his major debut in 2019 at Pebble Beach, which is a pretty solid effort.

He might have been 73rd in strokes gained in putting on the PGA Tour, but he was still in the green and gained shots in this discipline in 2024. If he can marginally improve in this department and find a little more distance off the tee, Morikawa could be in for another solid year in 2025.
Morikawa also played very solidly at the biggest events last year, coming in ninth at the RBC Heritage, second at the Memorial, and tied for fourth at the Genesis Scottish Open. He played well on a variety of golf courses, so he should have no trouble at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill.
Keegan Bradley @ 40/1
The better Keegan Bradley plays in 2025, the larger headache he will have later this year when he might make his own US Ryder Cup team. The issue is that Bradley’s form at the age of 38 still doesn’t seem to be dwindling.
He is 13th in the world rankings and in three events already in 2025, he has finished in the top 15 including a tied for sixth finish at the Sony Open. He has only played in the Pebble Beach Pro Am twice and finished tied for 15th and tied for 11th.
He is 18th so far in total strokes gained in 2025 and 19th in strokes gained from tee to green. In 2024, he came second twice and won the BMW Championship in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He lost in a playoff at last year’s Sony Open as well.
Bradley is still playing solidly and he has a good record in his limited time spent at Pebble Beach. There is plenty of interest given his price and would surprise no one if he won or placed.
Sepp Straka @ 50/1
Sepp Straka has won three times on the PGA Tour after winning this year’s American Express. He somewhat goes under the radar with his PGA Tour record. He made four top-10s in 2024 and 11 top-25s, including coming tied for fifth at the Memorial and the RBC Heritage.
He wasn’t one of the best players last year in total strokes gained, but he ranked in the top 50 in strokes gained off the tee, strokes gained approaching the green and total driving.
He came tied for 15th at the Sentry and tied for 30th at the Sony Open. Straka is active, playing well and has taken early opportunities to build form in a Ryder Cup year. He made his Ryder Cup debut in 2023 and will want to be back on the European team again in 2025.
He came 26th in the Pebble Beach Pro Am in 2024 and he came tied for 28th in the US Open in 2019 on his major debut. He has just won on the PGA Tour, so Straka is a big price here.
Mark Hubbard @ 125/1
You’ll need to roll with me here. Mark Hubbard is a huge price, but there is some value to it. He came tied for 21st at the Sony Open and tied for 12th at the American Express at the start of the season. I like the players that have been active already in 2025.
His driving accuracy is very good. He was 25th in this discipline in 2024 and although he was 74th in total strokes gained, he still gained strokes in general against the field. Importantly, Hubbard came tied for fourth at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am in 2024, so we know he can play all at this tournament.

He came tied for 31st at the Players Championship and tied for 26th at the PGA Championship last season too, which are finished not to be sniffed at. He qualified for the FedEx Cup Playoffs for the third straight season last year, so there is no doubt Hubbard has game and he is worth a punt at 125/1.
