Ping has released their latest Irons for 2025 – Here’s Everything you need to know

PING has lifted the lid on two exciting new iron offerings for 2025, the i240 irons and the iDi driving irons. Renowned for their player friendly iron designs, Ping have traditionally been one of the go-to iron brands for golfers of a range of abilities.

The Ping irons 2025 are raising the bar once again with the launch of two exciting new models. Two very different designs but clubs that can be utilised by variety of different golfing abilities.

Here’s everything you need to know about Ping’s two new iron releases, and why they might be the best-performing metal in your bag next season.

The Technology

Replacing the successful i230s, are the new i240 irons. Ping believe they have implemented a design that strikes a rare balance between the workability better players demand and the forgiveness that most of us can appreciate.

As part of the design, is a true cavity-back iron that blends traditional aesthetics with modern multi-material tech. The use of a lighter elastomer insert and badge system, 8.5g lighter than in the i230, saves weight that’s redistributed low and deep in the head. As a result, players can take advantage of higher launch, increased MOI, and tighter dispersion throughout the set, especially in the long and mid irons.

Additional technological features in the i240 irons include a refined sole shape, familiar to i-Series fans, ensures crisp turf interaction. Throughout the designing of this iron set, Ping attempted to balance the needs of the top players in the world as well as making them playable for us mere club golfers.

Ping has also refined the groove structure with wider spacing to improve spin consistency from both fairway and rough. Distance and trajectory controlled has also been aided by maintaining the player-preferred size and shape.

Launched alongside the i240 is the iDi driving iron. Ping say this is a tour-ready club engineered for ball-flight control and versatile shot shaping from the tee or off the deck. A standout innovation in this driving iron is Ping’s new inR-Air technology. This is a cleverly concealed pocket of air inside the head designed to soften impact frequencies and elevate both sound and feel.

That air pocket, paired with a forged steel face welded to a 17-4 stainless steel body, delivers impressive ball speed and a surprisingly soft feel for a driving iron.

The iDi sits slightly shorter heel-to-toe with a flatter lie, promoting workability and a more compact look at address. It’s also slightly shorter in length than previous PING Crossovers, for better control for the purer ball strikers amongst us.

Main Attributes: The iDi is a great option off the tee and for long approach shots into the green for golfers with higher swing speeds.

Who is it for?: Targeting better players looking for versatility and trajectory control from the top of their bag.

Ping i240 Irons

Looks: A players-style design.

Main Attributes: Combines shot-making precision with score-saving forgiveness to appeal to all golfing abilities.

Who is it for?: Can be utilised by a variety of different golfers and golfing abilities.

A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members.

Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.
