First Impressions

As somebody who often partakes in a golf trip and spends plenty of time with my clubs in the boot of the car, I was keen to give the travel caddy a go.

Usually when I am packing for golf trips, I tend to stuff everything required into an old rugby kit bag or just cram everything into a rucksack and deal with the unorganised mess on arrival, often resulting in a messy room or car boot when scrambling around for the required apparel.

On unpacking the bag from the box I was struck with how smart it looked but also how it didn’t really look like it could hold much stuff – in particular 2 pairs of size 12 shoes!

So, I was eager to put it to the test!

NCG Review

The travel caddy is packed with different storage options. The first being a dedicated compartment to keep two pairs of shoes. As a size 12 shoe I wasn’t convinced I’d be able to get two pairs but they both fit comfortably within (with a small shoe bag covering them both as well). This is really helpful as it keeps any grass or unwelcomed mud away from your other golf equipment.

The next compartment is the largest section, it has velcro dividers which enable you to change the size of each compartment. I used this space for the majority of items packed. Apparel, balls, accessories and anything further all fit nicely in here. The velcro dividers are a real bonus, this allows you to shift around the sizing of the compartments for larger and smaller pieces of apparel/equipment.

The next storage comes in the from a zipped netted pocket on the inside of the main compartment lid. This is a welcomed space for your smaller accessories and for bits you don’t necessarily want folding (ie golf gloves). There’s also a couple of thoughtful loops to store your tees.

Lastly, there is a small side pocket which I found very useful for the essentials that wouldn’t be required for the trip. For me, this was house keys, packed safely in a pocket out of the way and easily regathered on my return home.

The travel caddy is built with Oxford Polyester which is extremely durable and capable of being squeezed into the boot of your car alongside clubs and other bags without being torn or damaged. It is also fully waterproof which is always useful.

Now whilst the travel caddy is designed for those smaller golf breaks which it’s brilliant for, it also has a year round use in being ideal for keeping my boot organised. I used to have a number of different bags in my car to store a back up golf outfit, spare balls and other golf accessories. However now it sits perfectly in the corner of my boot holding some practice shoes, spare tees, balls and additional apparel I may need on an impromptu basis.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this is a great bit of kit to add to your golf travel arsenal. Ideal if you’re a frequent ½ night golf traveller or like to have a spontaneous golf bag in the boot of your car for those impromptu rounds of golf.
