Alexandra Forsterling is one of several Germans on the Ladies European Tour, and a four-time winner in a short space of time.

‘Lexi’ was born in Berlin, Germany in November 1999, and would go on to have a successful amateur career. She won several German and European titles, along with representing her country and spending time playing for Arizona State University in the American collegiate system. She graduated in 2022 and soon became a Ladies European Tour player.

September 2023 saw Forsterling win for the first time as a professional, and she went on to win four times on the Ladies European Tour in the space of four months. She was victorious at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open, Mallorca Ladies Open, Aramco Team Series – Tampa and on home soil at the Amundi German Masters.

Successful Amateur Career

Forsterling is one of several Europeans to have had a successful collegiate career as part of her amateur years. She spent four years at Arizona State University, playing alongside Sweden’s Linn Grant during her time there. 

Away from college, Forsterling had plenty of success elsewhere. She won the European Young Masters and the German International Amateur, along with three Berlin Amateur Open titles before turning professional. 

Home Win On German Soil

With her victory at the Amundi German Masters in 2024, Forsterling made history, becoming the first German woman to win a Ladies European Tour event on home soil. 

German National From Young Age

2014 saw Forsterling become a member of the German National Team for the first time, doing so at the tender age of just 14. Since then, she has represented her country at five different tournaments, including the European Ladies’ Team Championship and the Espirito Santo Trophy.
