Charles Howell III WITB. The PGA Tour stalwart grabbed his first win in 11 years and did it with 13 new clubs in the bag.
The American has been a PXG staff player for the past few years but looks set to sign a deal with Titleist in the New Year.
They may as well just announce it now as he was even wearing a Titleist cap and using a staff tour bag.
So heading into the RSM Classic at Sea Island, Howell III stuck a new Titleist driver, fairway, irons and wedges in the bag.
He was also using a brand new prototype golf ball which was first seeded in Las Vegas at the Shriners Hospitals Open for Children.
This week was the first time Howell III had used the ball, which we expect to be an updated version of the Pro V1, in competition play.
It was the first PGA Tour win for the new ball which will be officially launched in January.
Howell III opted for the new Titleist TS3 driver which we’ve also seen the likes of Justin Thomas, Ian Poulter and Webb Simpson using.
He has three different iron models which is the norm for tour players these days.
There’s the 718 T-MB models in the longer irons, AP2 for the mid irons and CB in the short irons.
Howell III has a full set of Vokey SM7 wedges.
His putter, which is the only non-Titleist piece of equipment in the bag, is the TaylorMade Spider Tour Red which has been one of the most popular models on tour ever since Sergio Garcia won the Masters with it.
He was wearing the FootJoy DNA Helix shoes.
