As a brand, G/Fore are out there. They don’t conform to traditional golfing norms, and they want people to know it. I think they’re brilliant. NCG SUMMARY
These are my new favourite spikeless golf shoes. They are super lightweight, really comfy to wear and better yet, you can’t really tell that they’re golf shoes.
Straight out of the box, they are incredibly comfortable and require no break-in period at all. The waterproof leather is very soft, and you will have no issue wearing these shoes on and off the course for a long period of time.

First Impressions
If you are a G/Fore fan or keenly follow my reviews, you will know that when I reviewed a different pair of G/Fore golf shoes earlier this year, I was pretty sure I was never going to wear another pair of golf shoes again. That was until I received the G/Fore G.112 golf shoes.
These shoes are what I’m all about. Casual, fairly simple design with a bit of flair. I love that the spikes cover the whole sole to give plenty of turf traction. They also have quite a wide sole and heel to provide a steady footing.
Putting them on, you notice the now familiar feeling of a triple-density foam cushion footbed straight away. It was a little off-putting at first as the foot massaging nubs feel weird if you’re not expecting them, but you quickly get used to them as they are extremely comfy.
G/Fore have included a TPU shank in the shoe to provide lightweight arch support which adds to the enjoyable wear.
A nice touch is how the spikes come up onto the outside of the shoe. I can’t imagine a situation where this would be a functional benefit of the shoe but it looks cool nonetheless.
On Course Testing
Since receiving the shoes I’ve basically not taken them off. I have played or practised every day for 5 days straight in them and even worn them to a BBQ.

On the golf course, I’ve had them out in dewy wet conditions and extremely dry warm conditions and had no issue with grip whatsoever, which is a huge plus for me.
These shoes have gone straight on the feet of tour players at this week’s US Open, and with that approval, you are not going to see any performance issues when out playing.
The 19th hole
I will wear these out and about for any occasion. The only downside I can see is that I might wear the rubber spikes down too much wearing them casually that I might just need a golf and non golf pair.
I wouldn’t necessarily wear these in the rain by choice, they are waterproof golf shoes, but because I’d like to keep them smart to extend their life as long as possible.
What’s really cool about these shoes is that they’re designed for both men and women. There are different colours and slight changes in design (including a removable kiltie) available but the G/Fore shoes have plenty of options in unisex.
