It’s a very busy week of golf with the Genesis Scottish Open, LIV Golf Andalucia and the fourth senior major of the year, but who are our betting tips?

The Genesis Scottish Open became the first co-sanctioned event between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour in 2022. It now falls the week before the Open Championship, providing the world’s best with a week to get their links game up to scratch ahead of the final men’s major of the season.

There’s also the chance for those that have qualified for The Open to get into form at LIV Golf Andalucia. The 54-hole event will take place at Real Club Valderrama, the home of the 1997 Ryder Cup.

The Kaulig Companies Championship is the fourth senior major of the season, and there will be a star-studded field descending on Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. Steve Stricker will be the defending champion.

What about the women’s major this week, the Amundi Evian Championship? Don’t worry, we’ve you got our tips for glory at the Evian Resort covered. You can check them out below.

Who will win these tournaments? Matt Coles takes a look at this week’s action…

Genesis Scottish Open golf betting tips and preview

Venue: The Renaissance Club, North Berwick, Scotland
Date: July 11-14, 2024
Course stats: Par 70, 7,237 yards
Defending champion: Rory McIlroy (-15)

Xander Schauffele @ 9/1 with bet365

2022 Genesis Scottish Open winner Xander Schauffele has taken his game to the next level so far this year. After so many close calls, he finally secured a maiden major victory, winning the PGA Championship at Valhalla in May. As a previous winner at the Renaissance Club, can the ‘X-Man’ move into the Open in the best way possible? 9/1 says he can.

Robert MacIntyre @ 40/1 with bet365

Robert MacIntyre Scottish Open betting tips

He came so close to winning his home national open last year. Can Robert MacIntyre go one better and take the victory this time around? The Scot comes in to the event in good form, having secured his maiden PGA Tour victory just a few weeks ago. A win on home soil ahead of an Open Championship on home soil… Why not?

Defending champion Rory McIlroy is also the favourite to take home the title once more this week. The four-time major champion is 8/1. What do you make of our betting tips for the Scottish Open?

Kaulig Companies Championship golf betting tips and preview

Venue: South Course at the Firestone Country Club, Akron, Ohio, United States
Date: July 11-14, 2024
Course stats: Par 70, 7,248 yards
Defending champion: Steve Stricker (-11)

Ernie Els @ 15/2 with bet365

South Africa’s Ernie Els has been in solid form recently, winning back-to-back events on the PGA Champions Tour at the start of June. He also came home inside the top ten at the US Senior Open a couple of weeks ago. He also loves playing at Firestone.

T5-5th-T3-T3 is his run of results in the last four years at the Kaulig Companies Championship. Don’t bet against Els taking home the trophy this week!

Hardest golfers

Jerry Kelly @ 22/1 with bet365

Another man that seems to play some of his best golf at Firestone CC is Jerry Kelly. The American is a two-time winner of the Kaulig Companies Championship, with victories in both 2020 and 2022. Could he continue that pattern with another win in 2024?

Like the Scottish Open, the defending champion is also the favourite this time round. Steve Stricker is just 16/5 to take the victory at Firestone this week.

LIV Golf Andalucia golf betting tips and preview

Venue: Real Club Valderrama, Andalucia, Spain
Date: July 12-14, 2024
Course stats: Par 71, 6,990 yards

Sergio Garcia @ 12/1 with bet365

Sergio Garcia currently sits in 7th in the LIV Golf League Individual Standings thanks to a pair of runner-up finishes and another top-five result. Add in the fact that he has won several times at Valderrama, and he is playing on home soil, and it’s time to back the Spaniard to claim his first LIV Golf victory.

Abraham Ancer @ 28/1 with bet365

Mexican Abraham Ancer was one of the big names to come through Final Qualifying last week, booking his place at Royal Troon for the Open Championship.

Following his victory at the US Open, Bryson DeChambeau is the favourite to win in Andalucia this week. He is 13/2, while Jon Rahm is 7/1 to win on home soil.

What else is going on in the world of golf this week?

There is plenty of other action going on this week.

The PGA Tour and DP World Tour combination also has an alternate event this week, with those not eligible for the Scottish Open given the opportunity to play in the Isco Championship.

The European Legends Tour is also back, and this time in Switzerland. Bad Ragaz plays host to the Swiss Seniors Open this weekend.

Who will take victory at these tournaments? Check out our picks for success below…

Michael Thorbjornsen @ 14/1 to win the Isco Championship with bet365

After finishing No.1 in the PGA Tour U rankings, Thorbjornsen had a slow start to his 2024 campaign on the PGA Tour. However, he finished runner-up at the John Deere Classic on Sunday, and he will be looking to take that form to Kentucky for the Isco Championship.

Peter Baker @ 7/1 to win the Swiss Seniors Open with bet365

fastest European Tour round betting tips

There have been four different winners so far on the European Legends Tour. I don’t see that changing this week. Last year’s Order of Merit winner Peter Baker also won the first event of this campaign. The Englishman is the second favourite to make it two wins in 2024, and I fancy him to do so!
