Genesis Open betting: Top tips
Xander Schauffele has fantastic value at 23/1 for someone who has won two tournaments since the end of October.
The American hasn’t finished outside the top 25 since The CJ Cup at the start of the very same month and has recorded four top-10 finishes in that same period.
Schauffele made his tournament debut at last year’s Genesis Open and carded a pair of 68s over the weekend to place inside the top 10, finishing five shots off the lead.
Another player that is at a similar price to the American is Hideki Matsuyama, who looks like he has returned to form following a mini blip at the Sony Open where a final round of 76 saw him slip outside the top 50.
Since then Matsuayama has responded with a T3 at the Farmers Insurance Open and a T15 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
He also has a good record at Riviera with three finishes inside the top 25.
If you’re looking for someone at a shorter price, Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau are both in the field this week and come into the tournament as the two in-form golfers in the world.
Both are priced around 17/1 and have recorded top-10 finishes in their last four starts with DeChambeau going one better than Rahm and recording a victory in that period at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
Genesis Open betting: Fancy a flutter on Tiger?
Tiger makes his return to action following two weeks off after the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
Woods is priced at around 20/1 to win his first event of 2019 while he is also 2/1 to make his first top 10 of the year. If you think Tiger is going to come out of the traps flying and shoot a low score you can get him at 33/1 to be the leader at the end of round one.

Matthew Beedle
Matthew has been playing golf since he was around 13 and took up the game at a local nine-hole municipal course with his friends before joining Pontefract & District Golf Club just over the hedge.
Still a member of Pontefract with a handicap of 3, he currently sits on the board of directors to help with digital and marketing initiatives in order to improve membership and visitor income.
Matthew graduated university with a First Class in Sports Journalism from Leeds Trinity University and has been working in the golf industry since graduating.
NCG’s social media & marketing manager, Matthew’s main job role is to increase website traffic to the National Club Golfer website via our email and social media channels as well as driving entries to grow our NCG Top 100s Tour events amongst other tasks.
Not one to change his equipment too often, Matthew currently plays the TaylorMade M2 driver which has lasted the test of time in his bag. Elsewhere, you’ll find him using the TaylorMade Stealth 2 three-wood with a Ping G425 Crossover 2-iron to aid his long game.
Through his 4-iron to Gap Wedge, Matthew uses the Ping i500 irons accompanied by Ping’s Glide 3.0 56-degree and 60-degree wedges.
Another club that has stood the test of time in his bag is a Nike Method Core MC-3i putter which has had to have the SuperStroke grip changed at least three times. Ball of choice is the Titleist ProV1.
