First Impressions

Wow! I think these have to be the coolest golf shoes I have ever been sent. I am in completely in love with the design. I absolutely adore the bold, bright pink colour, and the funky camo sole really makes these stand out. You certainly won’t miss me on the golf course in these.

If this design is a bit bold for you, do not fret, the MG4+ is available in a variety of colours and designs to suit everyone.

On Course Testing

I have put these shoes through some serious testing on a variety of golf courses here in the UK. I am a UK size 6, and a size 6 in these comes up slightly small. If you were to purchase these, I would recommend going up half a size to get the perfect fit. These do have an added cushioned insole which I took out, and then the shoes fit me nicely.

This insole is pretty interesting. G Fore describes it as a antimicrobial triple-density foam cushion footbed with massaging nubs. This is designed to be soft and more comfortable underfoot but also to massage the sole of the foot. It is definitely comfortable, but it does take a while to get used to the textured feeling under your foot. Interestingly this is washable and can be taken in and out of the shoe to clean.

You can see there are two clear sections on the rubber non-slip outsole. A hybrid knurled section and a sawtooth traction pattern. Both of these work together to deliver maximum traction out on the golf course. So far, this has delivered really nicely on the range and the course for me, but I would say these aren’t quite as grippy as some models on the market.

The back of the shoe features a 3D molded external heel cap for stability. I really liked the way this helped hold the ankle in place, it helped with comfort and also feeling like you could hit the ball hard and stay securely in the shoe.

The upper is made from a fully waterproof, high-abrasion-resistant TPU. I have found this exceptionally easy to clean, which will definitely help you extend the life of this shoe and keep it looking new for longer. It also seems to be much harder to crease than more traditional materials which again keeps them smarter.

I can also say the waterproofing works, these have kept my feet dry in rainy conditions and also in long grass when searching for golf balls. (I swear it was my playing partners.)

Inside there is a is fully padded mesh interior lining for breathability and comfort. I can safely say on recent hot days, this has kept my feet feeling nice and fresh.

These shoes also come packaged with an extra set of laces in light pink case you fancy a colour switch-up.

The 19th hole

Given the fashionable bold style of these, I think these could easily be worn off the course as a trainer substitute, making them a very versatile option and also making them better value for money.

Overall, I have really enjoyed testing these golf shoes, they certainly make me the most stylish player on the course.
