Adidas are the latest brand to join the fight against climate change. Primeblue is a new sustainable collection made in partnership with Parley Ocean Plastic.
The apparel and footwear is made from upcycled plastic waste which has been removed from remote islands, beaches, coastal communities, and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our ocean. Its then turned into high-performance polyester yarn used in apparel and footwear.
The collection features two sleeveless polos and skorts as well as limited edition footwear made from upcycled plastic waste in new Codechaos silhouette.
Adidas are making a real drive to use more recycled material in their new products. 71% of the apparel from the spring/summer 2020 collection is made from recycled polyester along with 75% of the footwear. By 2024 Adidas are pledging to convert 100 percent of our virgin polyester to recycled where possible.
