There are trips, and then there are journeys.
La Dolce Vita Orient Express is certainly the latter. An experience that offers something entirely different for golfers. It’s a chance to play some of Italy’s finest courses whilst travelling in luxury, experiencing the country’s spectacular landscapes.
Italy is a place that has become an increasingly popular golf break destination. They recently staged the Ryder Cup in 2023 at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, where Europe ran out convincing winners over their American counterparts.
It’s a country that blends golf, food, culture in a way few places can match.
This is an experience that looks to show off all those things. From the vineyards of Tuscany’s to Championship golf venues, this is golf travel but with a classic Italian twist.
Life aboard La Dolce Vita Orient Express
A one-of-a-kind luxury train. Much like The Orient Express, this is train travel at its most glamorous.
Guests have the option to choose between Deluxe Cabins and larger Suites, with interiors inspired by classic Italian style.
Deluxe Cabins feature en-suite bathrooms, mirrored walls and adaptable living spaces that helps to transform it from a lounge to a bedroom overnight. The Suites offer larger social areas with armchairs, tables and an all-round more spacious accommodation.
Dining is also a much coveted part of the experience. Michelin three-star chef Heinz Beck leads the culinary programme on board, with menus designed to celebrate regional Italian cuisine alongside carefully selected wines.
Beyond the golf, it is believed the appeal lies in the slower pace of the trip itself. The journey allows passengers to take in the history of these Italian cities and the stillness of its countryside.
Italian Swing
This is a four-day, four-night trip that is designed around some of the country’s finest golf courses.
Golfers will travel from Rome through Apulia, Siena and Tuscany before returning to the Italian capital. Along the way, there is a chance to play all of the following courses; San Domenico Golf Club, The Club at Castiglion del Bosco and either Antognolla Golf or Argentario Golf Club.

When in Rome, there is also an opportunity to finish the trip off in style by playing Marco Simone and following in the footsteps of Europe’s victorious Ryder Cup team.
The next departure is set to be in May 2027.
Northern Greens
Alternatively, golfers can explore northern Italy.
The four-day, three-night journey travels from Rome to Turin, Brescia and Tuscany before returning to Rome. Along the way, guests can tee it up at Royal Park I Roveri, Franciacorta Golf Club and either The Club at Castiglion del Bosco or Antognolla Golf.
As with the Italian Swing package, golfers also have the opportunity to play at the 2023 Ryder Cup venue.
