Matteo Manassero was once one of Europe’s brightest young stars and was on track to become a phenomenon.

By the age of 20, the Italian had won four times on the DP World Tour, including the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. But tough times were ahead when attempts were made at swing changes.

He went winless on the circuit, or any circuit for 10 years. He won twice on the Challenge Tour in 2023 to end a spell that saw him fail at DP World Tour Q School, lose playing rights in 2018 and take time away from the game.

He returned to the sport on the Alps Tour and eventually graduated to the DP World Tour via the season-long Challenge Tour points list for the first time in six years. Manassero has now become a regular name again near the top of the DP World Tour leaderboards.

So what clubs does the 31-year-old use? Manassero is Titleist through and through in 2024. He uses the Titleist TSR3 at the top of the back, followed by the TSR2 3-wood and a TSR3 hybrid.

Titleist T100 irons dominate the middle of his bag, from 4 iron to pitching wedge, but NCG understands that he also uses a T200 4-iron from time to time, as well as a U505 2 iron which is useful off the tee when a wood isn’t the right option.

Manassero uses two Vokey SM10 wedges and a WedgeWorks 58-degree at the bottom of the bag. It will come as no surprise that Manassero, like many Titleist staff players on tour, uses a Scotty Cameron SB-2 putter.
