Talor Gooch is one of the leading players in the LIV Golf League, winning the 2023 Individual Championship thanks to three wins.
Gooch was born in November 1991 in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and he stayed in the state for his college career. He played golf from a young age, and went on to play for Oklahoma State University. He also won the Oklahoma Stroke Play during his amateur days, before graduating and turning professional in 2014.
After a two-year stint on the PGA Tour Canada was followed by a year on the Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour). His first professional win came that year, in 2017, at the News Sentinel Open. He had to wait until 2021 for a first PGA Tour victory, firing a six-under-par 64 on the final day to win the RSM Classic in Sea Island.
Gooch was part of the initial cohort of players to make the jump to the LIV Golf League in the summer of 2022, and played the inaugural event in London. He has won three times on the tour, with victories in Adelaide, Singapore and Andalucia in 2023. Those wins helped him to become Individual Champion for the season. He won a fourth LIV Golf title in 2025, taking victory in Andalucia for the second time.
