Min Woo Lee is one of Australia’s best young talents in golf, and he is already a three-time winner on the DP World Tour.

Born in 1998, Lee has followed in the footsteps of older sister Minjee Lee, who is a two-time major champion in the women’s game. Lee won the US Junior Amateur in 2016, and in doing so, the siblings became the first brother/sister combo to win their respective USGA titles. Minjee won the US Girls Junior Amateur four years prior.

Min Woo turned professional shortly before his 21st birthday and has gone on to achieve great things in his fledgling career to date. His first professional victory came on home soil at the ISPS Handa Vic Open in February 2020, and he has three DP World Tour titles under his belt in total.

Lee also achieved Rolex Series winner status in 2021, when he won a play-off to clinch the Abrdn Scottish Open crown. Another win came on home soil at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, which was four weeks after a record-breaking win on the Asian Tour. He finished the SJM Macao Open with an aggregate total of 254, finishing 30-under for the week. He had to wait until 2025 to become a winner on the PGA Tour, though, which he did at the Texas Children’s Hospitals Open! He won by a single shot from World No.1 Scottie Scheffler.

His best major finish came at the US Open in 2022, where he came home in a tie for 5th place. Lee qualified for his first Presidents Cup side in 2024 and his battle to make the Australian Olympic team at the Paris 2024 Olympics was documented in the third season of Full Swing on Netflix.

Full Swing has followed the lives of PGA Tour and LIV Golfers for the last three years, with the latest season landing on our screens in February 2025. Min Woo and his sister Minjee feature in the show, supporting each other on the golf course and conversing behind the scenes off it. He came tied for 22nd at the Olympics for Australia and his teammate Jason Day came tied for ninth.
