Wells Fargo Championship prize money 2024
How much does each PGA Tour star take home from Quail Hollow?
Wells Fargo is in the last chapter of a sustained period of PGA Tour history as the title sponsor of the Wells Fargo Championship.
Truist will be taking over in 2025, but for now, the event carries a mammoth prize fund of $20 million, as it did in 2024 when it was awarded elevated status.
Rory McIlroy is in the field this week having won this tournament three times in his career. When McIlroy won his most recent title at Quail Hollow in 2021, he banked $1,458,000.
Last year, Wyndham Clark took victory and started the trail to the US Open where he became a major champion. Clark banked $3,600,000 which is what each winner of a Signature Event receives in 2024.
With an elevated purse comes an elevated field. Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Max Homa, Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Cantlay. You name them, and they are playing in North Carolina this week – apart from Scottie Scheffler who is waiting to become a dad.
We are also one week out from the PGA Championship, the second major of the year, so no doubt each star will be looking to find form before travelling to Valhalla in Louisville, Kentucky.
