  • Pga tour card: 2025 race finishes at rsm classic

The last event of the PGA Tour season is done, ending in ecstasy and agony depending on your FedEx Cup ranking.

We’re through the RSM Classic which means another year is in the books and the top 125 players in the FedEx Cup points list have secured their playing rights for 2025.

How do you lose your PGA Tour card? Well, if you enter the final year of your exemption and continue to tumble down the FedEx Cup rankings by missing cuts and accruing bad finishes, this is how players get into bother.

The top 150 will earn 150 conditional cards, giving players limited access to PGA Tour events. Players with conditional status can still earn full exemptions through strong performances, but the top 125 is where you want to be.

The season finished with the RSM Classic and this concluded the FedEx Cup Fall. It consisted of eight events where players could not only secure status for next season but improve their positions in the priority ranking which can lead to additional playing opportunities. Only players ranked above 50 in the FedEx Cup rankings could earn points in the FedEx Cup Fall.

Joel Dahmen holed a short putt in the second round of the RSM Classic to make the cut, then holed a six-footer to card a 64 in the final round at Sea Island Golf Club to finish tied for 35th, which was enough to secure a card for next year.

By coming tied for 17th, Swede Henrik Norlander made a huge leap from 126th to 120th in the rankings to join Dahmen in the 2025 season. Zac Blair unfortunately went the other way. He missed the cut at the season finale meaning he fell three places to finishing in the agonising spot of 126th.

At the other end of the spectrum, Maverick McNealy made a superb birdie on the 72nd hole in Georgia to win his first PGA Tour title.
