PGA Tour releases 2025 schedule: When are the Signature Events and Playoffs?
What does the PGA Tour 2025 diary look like? Here’s the schedule of tournaments
It comprises 36 regular season events and three playoff shootouts across 18 American states and six other countries – the PGA Tour 2025 schedule has been announced to the usual fanfare.
So let’s take a look at what’s coming and reveal the full tournament calendar for 2025…
2025 PGA Tour schedule
It’s the second year of the governing body’s new competitive model so that means sticking with the calendar theme – events will run from the start of end of December until August – and a combination of full-field and Signature Events.
There are events across 18 states in the US, along with Mexico, Canada, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
Signature Events, which offer more FedEx Cup points (700) to the winner, start with the opening event of the year, The Sentry, and also comprise of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, The Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational, RBC Heritage, Truist Championship, Memorial Tournament and Travelers Championship.
After The Sentry, the entry criteria for the other seven Signature Events includes the top 50 players from the FedEx Cup standings in 2024 along with:
- 15 members who can play their way in through the Aon Next 10 and Aon Swing 5;
- Current season tournament winners (excluding Additional Events);
- PGA Tour members inside the top 30 in world rankings;
- Four sponsor exemptions;
- The three player-hosted events also have one tournament host exemption, which are not restricted to PGA Tour members.
Jay Monahan, PGA Tour commissioner, said: “The new schedule and competitive changes introduced in 2024 were significant steps toward creating the best version of the PGA Tour for our fans and players.
“Fields were significantly stronger across the board, while the Signature Events provided fans more opportunities to see the PGA Tour’s best competing head-to-head.
“As we enter the second year of this reimagined schedule, one thing remains a constant — winning on the PGA Tour continues to rank among the most difficult and rewarding accomplishments in sport. We are grateful to the entire membership, especially our Player Directors and Player Advisory Council, as well as our tournaments and partners.”
