Hideki Matsuyama took advantage of typically easy scoring conditions at Kapalua to make PGA Tour history.

The former Masters champion carded a final-round 65 at the Sentry to begin the 2025 season in style, picking up his 11th win on the US circuit.

In doing so, he finished on 35-under, one ahead of what Cameron Smith reached when winning the same event in 2022 and set a new winning score to-par record on the PGA Tour.

“I was able to have a great off-season and get a fresh start this week and play well this week, so it was a great way to start.”
