How much? Here’s the WM Phoenix Open prize money

How much does each PGA Tour star take home from TPC Scottsdale?

It was that time of the year again – the return of the raucous and pulsating WM Phoenix Open.

When TPC Scottsdale is mentioned, one thing is subsequently thought of: the 16th hole.

The Stadium Hole has become an iconic and extremely popular landmark that plays host to loud, beer-launching fans surrounding a tricky little par 3.

Wyndham Clark was the hero of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in the previous week as he was named the winner after 54 holes when bad weather ended the tournament prematurely.

Clark lined up against Sam Burns, Scottie Scheffler, Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas in Arizona.

However, it was Mr Clutch himself, Nick Taylor, who took victory after beating Charley Hoffman in a playoff.

The Canadian made a birdie on the 72nd hole to force a playoff with the American before he birdied the second playoff hole to put the tournament to bed.

The prize purse stands at $8,800,000 with the winner banking a healthy sum of $1,584,000. Scheffler was the defending champion and won $3.6 million last year having cashed in on the event’s old Elevated status.
