First Impressions
I have always been a J Lindeberg fan. In fact, I can remember the first JL waterproof jacket I ever had, and may even still have it. Their fit just seems to suit my slender frame so I’ve always had a small collection of it. One thing you notice with the brand is they only ever seem to be in the pro shops of top clubs.
I tested the ‘rain forest melange’ version of the tour tech slim fit golf polo with a look to add some colour into my very golfer, grey black and navy wardrobe. It does come in 7 other colour options if you want something a bit brighter but Im not quite ready for that just yet.
It is 100% polyester and made from J Lindeberg’s premium fabric, TX Jersey™, and it has moisture-wicking properties, technical stretch, and an extra soft feel. Slipping it on, it feels light with a snug fit around the shoulders and arms, which I very much like.
On The Course
I am 178cm ( 5ft 10) tall and weigh anywhere between 69-73kg depending on how much running and eating I am doing. In polo shirts, slim fit generally suits me best, and I vary between a medium and a small, depending on the brand. Knowing that JL generally tends to size slightly small, I ordered a medium that fits perfectly.
The shirt was really comfortable next to the skin and to swing in. It fitted closely, but there was no restriction when swinging, so it was an absolute pleasure to wear.
I’ve worn it just by itself on a hot day and under a mid-layer in the wind and the moisture-wicking technology has ensured that I’ve remained cool and dry. It’s also long enough in the body to not become untucked if tucking your shirt in is your thing.
I’ve worn the tour tech polo loads of times since receiving it. The easy-care fabric washes well, and there’s no need for ironing.
The 19th hole
There are 2 logos on the polo shirt, on the collar and sleeve. They are not huge and don’t scream golf to people which I like. I’ve worn this shirt off the course a fair amount often not changing before going out to dinner or a social occasion.
Although I have mostly worn this shirt for golf, I have enjoyed wearing the polo away from the golf club; such is the comfort and fit. So I think this is a polo that will get plenty of use over the summer. It’s comfortable, smart and stylish. I could quite happily order some more in other colours!

His favourite club ever owned was a Ping G10 driver bought from a local top amateur with the hope that some of the quality golf shots would come with it (they didn't), and worst was a Nike SQ driver he only bought because Tiger was using it.
