The Oman Open will welcome a talent-packed field and our tipster has been busy picking out who he fancies to go well
In its third year as a European Tour event, the Oman Open looks set to be the most competitive yet with several in-form players in the field. Check out my Oman Open betting tips below.
Jorge Campillo (75/1 with bet365) has the best record without winning in this event since it became a European Tour stop two years ago and despite some poor form recently he’s coming into a section of the season where he has played his best golf in the past couple of seasons.
He finished T2 last year and took a share of 4th the year before that so he clearly feels comfortable around this layout.
Perhaps a win for Campillo would be a step too far this week but having played in the no-cut WGC-Mexico last week, albeit not too well, he could well be primed for another good performance here and at large odds he’s worth a small each-way bet on course form alone.
Benjamin Hebert (40/1) is an interesting one this week who could well be good for a place with good form both on this course and the recent weeks.
He had a top-10 finish here in 2018 and finished inside the top 20 last season and his game really gone from strength to strength since.
Hebert has climbed inside the world’s top 100 and also teed it up in Mexico last week finishing in a tie for 18th. He took a couple of weeks off before that but in a similar way to Campillo I’m hoping the time spent travelling won’t catch up with him here.
Tour editor covering men's golf, women's golf and anything else that involves the word golf, really. The talk is far better than the game, but the work has begun to change that.
