3M Open TV times and betting tips
As we head back across the pond for our weekly fix of PGA Tour action, we look ahead to the 3M Open at the stunning TPC Twin Cities. With many of the PGA Tour regulars taking the week off following the Open Championship, this looks to be a great opportunity for someone to steal a valuable tour win. This week I have selected three players who stand out from the crowd, with value being the name of the game this week. But first…
Venue: TPC Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
Date: 22-25 July 2021
Course stats: Par 71; 7,431 yards
Course summary: In contrast to Royal St George’s, this week’s venue is a relatively easy, flattish parklands that shouldn’t post players too many problems. Wind can be a factor here, as can the 27 water hazards, but conditions are usually manageable and low scores can be expected.
Purse: $6.6 million
Defending champion: Michael Thompson (-19)

3M Open betting tips
Bazza’s Banker: Louis Oosthuizen @ 14/1 with Bet365
In what appeared to be another case of so close yet so far for Oosthuizen at The Open, I like his chances to kick on in a much weaker field and secure a victory in the States. Oosthuizen is playing magnificently at present, ranking 5th for SG: Total in the last three months, and has some incredible recent form that suggests he is ready to win. Four top-3 finishes, including three runner-ups, should be all the convincing you need to gamble on Louis at a course that will certainly suit.
The outsider: Emiliano Grillo @ 40/1 with Bet365
Grillo was fantastic in the final round at The Open, securing a 12th place finish to reward his efforts. The Argentine also finished 3rd at this event last season, with his stats suggesting this track is right up his street. When you consider that this is a course that requires strong approach play, you won’t find many better than Grillo – evidenced by the fact he ranks 3rd for SG: Approach in the last three months. If he can putt well, he has a great chance here.
The long shot: Keegan Bradley @ 50/1 with Bet365
Bradley has had a hit and miss season so far, but this event could be the spark he needs as he travels to a course that should suit his style of play. In the last three months, Bradley ranks 7th for SG: Approach, 6th for SG: Tee-to-green and has three top-20 finishes in his last six starts. Prior to that, a runner-up finish at the Valspar Championship is certainly a good indicator of how close he is to getting the job done, and with a weaker field on show this week he could capitalise to grab a fifth PGA Tour title.
