Hannah Green is one of the leading Australians in the women’s game, with a major title among four LPGA Tour victories in her career.
Green was born in Perth, Western Australia in December 1996, and took up the game from a young age, with her father introducing her to golf. She had a successful amateur career, with four wins in a four-year stint, before turning professional in 2016, prior to her 20th birthday.
The Australian’s first season on the Symetra Tour was an amazing one. She won three times, with victories at the Sara Bay Classic, Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout and IOA Golf Classic. Green finished 2nd in the money list and was named the Symetra Tour Rookie of the Year for 2017. She only had to wait 18 months for her first win on the LPGA Tour, which came on the biggest of stages.
Green was victorious at the 2019 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship by a single shot to claim her maiden major title. Wins have followed at the Cambia Portland Classic, JM Eagle LA Championship and the HSBC Women’s World Championship – the latter having been won twice by the Australian, most recently in 2026. Two weeks after that win, Green then succeeded for the first time on the Ladies European Tour, as she became the first home winner of the Women’s Australian Open for 15 years. A week later, she made it back-to-back wins with a victory at the Australian WPGA Championship.
She has also represented her country on the grandest stage, playing for Australia at the Tokyo Olympics. Green was also part of the Australian side that won the International Crown for the first time in 2025.
