Introduction
The Skechers Blade Tour Slip-In Golf Shoes are designed as a tour-style spiked golf shoe with hands-free entry. It targets golfers who want performance similar to a classic spiked shoe but with the convenience of a slip-on design.
This is a new offering from Skechers for 2026 and is their premium tour product. Matt Fitzpatrick and Max Greyseman are using Skechers shoes for the 2026 PGA season and given Fitzzy’s recent run of form – it is quite an endorsement!
The specific version that Matt Fitzpatrick is currently wearing has been phased out of the Skechers current line up.
However, the newest model is the Blade Tour, which offers updated features and performance enhancements and is the shoe under review in this article. So, let’s dive in with our full Skechers Blade Tour Slip-In Golf Shoe review…

NCG Summary and rating

NCG Summary
This is clearly a premium shoe – packed with technology with very impressive looks and performance. A very stable platform with a comfortable feel.
This is comfort-focused shoe with excellent convenience! The previous tour shoe was the Blade GF shoe – It’s synthetic uppers received negative feedback
because it looked and felt quite ‘plasticky’ – the 2026 shoe has a synthetic leather upper which addresses this and also improves the comfort of the product.
PROS
- Great design
- Improved on the previous model
- Helps with stability and support
- Hands free slip in
CONS
- If anything a lack of added inclusions for the price – for example a shoe bag

First Impressions
I have always liked clean lines and simplistic yet classy designs, this new offering from Skechers certainly fits that bill!
I could not wait to get them on, or should I say slip them on, and put them to the test.
They definitely feel sturdy in hand and can see why these are used on Tour. Having said that, they still felt lightweight and not overly bulky.
How I undertook the review
I wore this shoe once for fit before taking out on the range for a warm up and then out onto the course.
I played 2 rounds of golf at my home golf club of Alwoodley – as is usual with my golf game, I played from various parts of the course, not necessarily always from the fairway!!
What I found
This shoe was as expected, comfortable from the start and I was looking forward to the promised improvement as the Arch fit insole moulded to my feet. This is Sketchers premium Tour product and the stability is extremely good. The forefoot section is wider than expected and the heel stability felt solid.

I have been using this brand for quite a few years having moved from a previous leading comfort brand. The switch was primarily due to a significantly lower price while still retaining the comfort that I sought. I think for most golfers, gone are the days of having to ‘break in’ golf shoes with the unnecessary blisters before the wild stallion of a golf shoe is tamed! Skechers have built their brand on comfort at an affordable price.
This shoe has classic golf aesthetic rather than the trainer-style look, which I really like. The lines are sharp and elegant. It has quite good torsional strength for a light weight shoe which weighs in at 0.82 kg (1.8 lbs). I have the blue and white version, one of 5 colours – the green versions is an ode to the Masters at Augusta and a very beautiful shoe.
The shoe is the spiked with 7 cleats and promises improved stability and increased distance with less dispersion!

The branding is ever present- no fewer than 11 bits of branding per shoe! 2 Skechers logos , 5S’s and 3 feature branding!! There is no mistaking that this is a Skechers!
The uppers are synthetic with a foam based sole. The glossy moulded heel support at the back is interesting and quite chic. The shoe has a 1 year waterproof warranty which is ideal for those of us who play in the UK!
As I have come to expect with Skechers, the shoe is comfortable and wearable out of the box. The heel pillows that allow your foot to slip in without much effort or bending, works effectively and I would imagine that this feature will appeal to the aging golfer, like myself!
The Arch Fit technology moulds to your feet, making them even more comfortable.
The shoe feels stable, the forefoot section is wider as is common with this brand and helps to improve stability on even the most vigorous swings!
NCG Final Say
This is undoubtedly a premium product with good looks, packed with technology which provides enhanced stability and produces very comfortable golf. The improved distance and less dispersion claims I cannot vouch for but they are evidently helping to support Matt Fitzpatrick with his game – 3 PGA Tour wins thus far in 2026 is pretty impressive. I know it is more than just the shoes, but the fact he is a micro detail person reflects the quality Skechers provides him.
A while back, Skechers did a promotion including a shoe bag with each purchase, this would be a really nice added bonus that would be fitting of going along with their Tour standard golf shoe.
How they compare to other shoes
I have been a long time Skechers user and this is by far their best offering! It compares quite favourably with more expensive comfort brands. The immediate comfort out of the box is impressive and what I have come to expect with this brand.
