Own a piece of history with this limited edition SQAIRZ shoe inspired by Sir Nick Faldo

Sir Nick Faldo’s name is etched in golfing immortality and now, it’s stitched into leather. The six-time major champion has teamed up with SQAIRZ to unveil a shoe that’s as steeped in legacy as it is in performance. Together they have released the NF1990MO.

There are only 1,000 pairs worldwide, so this really is a special-edition golf shoe – shipping free anywhere in the UK – this offer ending July 3rd. It celebrates Faldo’s incredible 1990 season, which saw him win both The Masters and The Open Championship. It’s a feat achieved by only the greatest in the game, and now, you can walk a few yards in those champion footsteps.

Every element of the NF1990MO reflects the thoughtful craftsmanship of a champion. Faldo was involved in every step of the process. Including from selecting the full-grain leather to shaping the shoe’s fit and finish. The result is a golf shoe that exudes timeless elegance with a silhouette that pays homage to the classic styles of Faldo’s era, as well as incorporating modern tour-level performance.

There is no shortage of technology. The shoe features a lightweight TPU outsole paired with SQAIRZ’s proprietary NRG™-Foam midsole, delivering responsive energy return and lasting comfort. The heel stabiliser and dual-density footbed work in tandem to provide support from the first tee to the 18th green.

Additionally, the patented roomier toe box, which is one of SQAIRZ’s signature innovations, promotes improved balance, enhanced ground connection, and added stability through the swing.

Traction is also just as impressive. The hybrid Smart Traction™ system offers more than 290 points of contact with the turf, bolstered by six Pivix Softspikes® for dependable grip in all course conditions. It’s a shoe built for feel, flow, and firm footing.

Faldo debuted the NF1990MO earlier in the year at the iconic Par 3 Contest at Augusta. A return to the stage of his multiple Masters triumphs, now wearing a shoe inspired by it. very much a full-circle for the three-time Green Jacket winner.

Each pair of the NF1990MO arrives with a hand-signed photograph of Sir Nick Faldo. But this isn’t just a showpiece. It’s a golf shoe made to perform under pressure, crafted to appreciate history but also produce innovation on the course.

The NF1990MO offers a rare chance to walk in a legend’s footsteps, quite literally in this case.

About the author

Max Mcvittie

A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members.

Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.

Having studied at the University of Sunderland, Max is starting out his dream career in sports journalism. During his time at university, he picked up valuable work experience at Reach PLC, BBC Radio Cumbria and GiveMeSport, whilst also getting work published in the Teesside Live. He also spent time working at a local weekly newspaper, Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser, as a general news reporter partially covering some local sport just north of the border in Langholm.

Max has just started his journey with the NCG working as the assistant equipment editor. He looks forwarded to reviewing the latest golf equipment, taking up an interest in reviews when buying his first golf club, a Cleveland RTX wedge.

With his bag not going under too many changes throughout the last few years, Max carries an M3 driver, Titleist GT3 Fairway Wood, M2 hybrid, a set of M2 irons, Callaway Jaws wedges and a TaylorMade Spider putter. And yes, Max is a bit of a self-proclaimed TaylorMade fan boy.
