Turkish Airlines Open betting tips and preview
At a slightly bigger price, Padraig Harrington (60/1, 6 places) has hit a purple patch and looks a good bet to go close again following his battle with Rose last year on his way to a fourth place finish.
The Irishman has three top-10 finishes in his last six starts. More pertinently, he hit the second most greens in the field last time out in Spain when finishing 66th – a performance that was significantly better than the result suggested.
He’s ranked inside of the top-10 in putting average in both of his attempts here at Carya, so clearly he’s managed to work out these large, undulating greens.
Finally, Chris Paisley (100/1, 7 places) became a father just two weeks ago and perhaps there may be an extra bit of motivation this week.
The Englishman came up just short in his quest for a PGA Tour card at the Web.com Play-Offs last month. He returned to the European Tour a few weeks ago when finishing 24th at the Alfred Dunhill Links.
Paisley made his debut here two years ago – which remains his only appearance – and he closed the week with a fine 67 as he showed signs of getting to grips with the layout.
Rose and Olesen – the last two winners here at Carya – were a combined 38-under. Clearly birdie-making is important here and that typically needs a hot putter.
With a strokes gained: putting rank of fifth this year on the European Tour, Paisley rates a solid each-way bet at a triple figure price.
