He hasn’t recorded a victory since his win at Birkdale in 2018 but could this week finally be the week Jordan Spieth (14/1) gets himself back in the winner’s circle?
The Texan recorded a T3 at the PGA Championship last week and at times looked to be back to his old self, gaining nearly three strokes on the field with his flat stick.
Bethpage wasn’t a course that was particularly suited to Spieth’s game, especially with it playing so long, but he finally looked like he could grind a score out.
Colonial is a course where he has had success in the past with five top 15s in the last six years including a victory in 2016 and he also went close here in 2015 and 2017.
Colonial could be a course that suits Paul Casey (25/1)down to the ground this week as it requires good ball striking and accuracy off the tee.
The Englishman missed the event last year but recorded a top 10 in 2017 so certainly knows his way around here.
A final round of one under par at Bethpage was enough to see him finish inside the top 30, a great a finish to say he started the day in one of the first groups out on Sunday.
Casey’s form prior to the PGA Championship was pretty solid with a T4 at the Wells Fargo Championship and his back-to-back victory at the Valspar Championship being his notable finishes in his last five starts.

Matthew has been playing golf since he was around 13 and took up the game at a local nine-hole municipal course with his friends before joining Pontefract & District Golf Club just over the hedge.
Still a member of Pontefract with a handicap of 3, he currently sits on the board of directors to help with digital and marketing initiatives in order to improve membership and visitor income.
