The most successful golf balls at The PGA Championship

Which golf balls claimed top 5 finishes at The PGA Championship? Paul Miller kept track so you don’t have to

The second golf major of the year saw Xander Schauffele triumphant and finally capture his first major. But from a golf ball perspective did Titleist dominate just like they did at The Masters ?

What balls were the top five players playing over the week? Below shows what the final five were teeing up and how it changed throughout the week.

It was a good week for the Callaway Chrome Tour X golf ball – the ball of choice for the PGA Champion Xander Schauffele and =4th placed Thomas Detry. If you had not heard of the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball before this week then that was the ball of choice for Bryson DeChambeau. The better known Titleist Pro V1 was teed up by Viktor Hovland whilst Colin Morikawa’s top 5 finish, just like at The Masters, meant the TaylorMade TP5x featured amongst the top 5 balls.

Top 5 Golf Balls Used At The PGA Championship

1) Xander Schauffele – Callaway Chrome Tour X

Xander Schauffele topped a great week for Callaway by rolling in his Callaway Chrome Tour X golf ball for his final winning putt. This matched his Callaway cap and Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Driver.

For those in the UK, Callaway are currently running a 4 for 3 offer, so it is a great time to purchase if you are a Callaway Chrome Tour X player or want to see if they might rub the Schauffele magic off on your game.
