Best TaylorMade Winter Accessories

TaylorMade Bobble Beanie

4.5 star review
best taylormade winter accessories

RRP £17.99 | NOW £14.99

This is very much a golfer’s hat. However, it really is very good looking with the main part contrasting with the cuff. The thin stripes give it a contemporary look. The stitched logo has a feel of quality about it, and while prominent, isn’t too overbearing.

It has a lovely soft lining and is, unsurprisingly, extremely comfortable. Due to the lining, it is probably best used in colder weather.

PROS:

  • Great looks
  • Soft lining
  • Extremely comfortable

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Grey/Navy, Royal Blue/Red, Grey/Black

TaylorMade Cart Mittens

best taylormade winter accessories

RRP £24.99 | NOW £19.95

Warm mittens really are vital when playing on a cold day. The TaylorMade Cart Mittens are thoughtfully designed. They have a nylon outer shell and a thumb and palm insert for extra grip.

They have a thinsulate lining, which makes them warm and comfortable. The elastic cuff closure looks quite tight but allows your hand in very easily.

From what I can see they come in one size but they are extremely roomy and would fit all but the most enormous hands.

PROS:

  • Warm and comfortable
  • Easy to get on and off
  • Thumb and palm inserts a nice addition

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black/Grey

TaylorMade Women’s Bobble Beanie

5 star review
best taylormade winter accessories

RRP £17 | NOW £13.99

The TaylorMade Women’s Bobble Beanie, I don’t think, is just for women. Its style is different from the quintessential golf “wooly” hat and, with the understated TaylorMade logo, would be suitable for wearing off the golf course.

I really like the subtle heart pattern and the dark colour options for winter.

It is made from knitted acrylic and has a soft, comfortable inner lining. It is therefore more geared towards cold weather.

PROS:

  • Nice to see some different styling
  • Comfortable
  • Soft inner lining for added warmth

CONS:

  • Distinctive pattern may not appeal to everyone

Colours: Black, Navy, Red

TaylorMade Rain Control Glove

5 star review
best taylormade winter accessories

RRP £25.99 | NOW £23.95

Rain doesn’t really enhance the golfing experience and one of the biggest issues is the loss of grip. I have tried a few brands of rain gloves with varying success. The TaylorMade Rain Control Glove is near the top of the tree for these gloves.

They are made from element tech microfibre material according to the website. Additionally, the nylon is described as exceptionally strong. This certainly translates into my real-world testing of them.

They felt very comfortable, yet durable. They really performed when playing shots when wet. The grip was excellent with both gloves on. I don’t imagine may golfers like wearing two gloves but they were as tolerable in this regard as any others I have tried. The grip was good enough that it, if not too wet, I could wear one glove.

PROS:

  • Good looking
  • Excellent grip in the wet
  • Great Fit

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Navy, Grey, Black
Sizes: S, M, ML, L, XL

TaylorMade Storm Bucket Hat

4.5 star review
best taylormade winter accessories

RRP £19.99 | NOW £17.44

I have never owned this style of hat, to my cost. Rain running down one’s face is bad enough, but when combined with wearing glasses it does make golf even more challenging.

The Storm Bucket Hat from TaylorMade is the answer. Its 2.5-inch brim is just the right compromise between protection and remaining unobtrusive during the swing. I tested the black version which had a pleasing, almost velvety look and texture to it.

The website states it is water-resistant, but the label on the hat says waterproof. In testing there was no evidence of any water absorption. It has a relaxed stretch fit construction which keeps it in place comfortably. The printed TaylorMade logo is tasteful. This is something I will keep in my golf bag from now on.

PROS:

  • Good looks
  • Excellent fit
  • Brim size perfect for protection and playing

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Grey Black
Sizes: S/M, L/XL

 TaylorMade Double Canopy Umbrella 64

5 star review
best taylormade winter accessories

RRP £39.99 | NOW £37

The first thing I noticed about the TaylorMade Double Canopy umbrella was that it felt substantial. Compared to one of my single canopy umbrellas that I use when carrying it was about 200g heavier at around 945g. It does mean that this feels very robust and, with its WindPro® technology should withstand significant winds.

It has an auto-open feature, and it really does feel extremely stable and high quality when open. The handle is described as ergonomic sport-grip. It is comfortable enough in the hand, but it does look to be designed to fit into an umbrella holder with ease, which it did. I reviewed the 64” canopy, and it is large enough to provide good protection while potentially being able to be carried. Having had flimsy umbrellas get mangled by the wind on several occasions a quality umbrella is required equipment.

PROS:

  • Excellent build quality
  • Ease of use
  • The handle fits umbrella holders easily

CONS:

  • Not extremely light

Colours: Black
