Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel: Men’s Clothes

Puma Warm Pant

4 star review

RRP £80 | NOW £75

The Puma Warm Pants were very comfortable, and this was largely down to the loose bottoms and the perfect fit. The completely black colour looks smart, and each pocket was spacious and free while walking the course and fishing for items. The back pockets are zipped which I always give the greenlight too. The size was a perfect fit, so it’s important not to deviate from your regular fit. The waistband is stretchy, but not too stretchy and leaving you needing a belt. The trousers come with Duramesh technology and moisture-wicking fabrics which help with the comfort of the product, but also its durability when the wind and the rain come in. The five-pocket design is useful for carrying tees, ball markers and other accessories you need during your round of golf. These trousers are a solid choice for golfers who want a simple solution to filling gap in their golf wardrobe. The Puma Warm Pant is named so for the fact you feel insulated as well as comfortable too.

PROS:

  • All black colour is smart
  • Great fit
  • 5 pocket design is very useful

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black, Navy Blazer
Sizes: 30/32 – 38/32

Puma Cloudspun Colourblock 1.4 Zip

4 star review

RRP £65 | NOW £42.99

The Puma Cloudspun Colourblock ¼ zip is perfect for any golfer looking for this style of top layer. It is smart and the colour contrast of black and grey is very pleasing. It comes in a performance fit with the Puma Cat Logo on the left side of the chest. The Cloudspun element provides a custom-milled performance poly-spandex blend while feeling like soft cotton. The material is stretchy which can be useful for golfers who are unsure of which size to go with. The Cloudspun fabric also helps with comfort and this garment is perfect for a golfer looking to feel good and look good on the golf course. This ¼ zip top layer is suitable for the autumn and even when it gets colder in the winter too. The sleeves provide a blend of soft feel and thick material that will no doubt keep you insulated during your round. I was able to swing freely and feel confident while sporting the impressive Puma Cloudspun Colourblock ¼ zip.

PROS:

  • The grey and black colour scheme is smart
  • The material is soft and comfortable
  • The performance fit allows maximum freedom of movement

CONS:

  • £65.00 might be seen as too expensive

Colours: Black- Quiet shade Heather, Navy Blazer-Navy Blazer Heather, Evening Sky-Flamingo Pink Heather, Navy Blazer-Future Blue Heather
Sizes: S-XXL

Puma Frost Quilted Vest

5 star review

RRP £120 | NOW £99

This stylish Puma gilet will fit the bill for many golfers. It is tight fit, but too oppressive and you will no doubt make you look good and feel good on the golf course. Some gilets can strangle your body, but this isn’t the case with the Frost Quilted Vest, as it is extremely comfortable. The Primaloft Gold Insulation is complete with water-resistant protection in light rain and this product also features additional Cloudspun fabric at the sides and the back which ensures maximum freedom when you swing the club. The full zip design straps you in for action and this feature also gives you the option to relieve any tightness at the top of your chest. My favourite part of this product is the double zip hand pocket design which allows you to tuck your hands in during testing conditions, but is also useful for storage. The weather-resistant shell on the outside of the vest increases durability when you play in tough conditions, and this just adds to the quality of the product.

PROS:

  • A performance fit is very comfortable
  • The double zip hand pockets are great for insulation and storage
  • Black-Slate Sky colour is very smar

CONS:

  • Perhaps a bit thin which could reduce warmth

Colours: Black-Slate Sky
Sizes: S-XXL

Puma Frost Quilted Jacket

4 star review

RRP £140 | NOW £124.99

The Puma Frost Quilted Jacket is very comfortable, and this is largely down to the quilted front which you can also feel when you place your hands in the pockets. It is lightly padded and not too tight on your body, which is a beneficial feature when taking your swing. The zipped pockets are always a beneficial feature of any jacket, and the Puma Frost Quilted Jacket is no exception. When walking the fairways, on occasion, this jacket allows you to feel free in between shots and mid-swing as well. The technology used in this product is designed to protect against wind and keep you locked in during your round. It has a full zip closure at the front, which may not look as smart as a ¼ zip design, but this still allows you that degree of adjustability if it feels too tight.

PROS:

  • Lightweight jacket despite quilted front
  • Smart colour scheme
  • Light sleeves allow maximum freedom of movement

CONS:

  • Full front zip might not suit every golfer

Colours: Black-Slate Sky Grey
Sizes: S-XXL

Puma baselayer

4 star review

RRP £24.99 | Now £16.61

This base layer is solid and smart. The jet-black look is very striking, and the materials used will no doubt keep you insulated with the accompaniment of other layers. This base layer can be worn with a multitude of different garments such as the Puma Frost Quilted Vest or the Puma Cloudspun Colourblock ¼ zip. While recognising this is a base layer, I was surprised at how thin it was, having previously worn slightly thicker ones in the past. Nonetheless, this black base layer is extremely versatile and could be worn in a number of different settings. Whether you are playing golf, rugby, football or just going for a stroll in the colder weather, this base layer will serve you on each occasion underneath other clothing. It is extremely light, and you barely realise you have it on your back as you swing. The thin material contributes to this and while some base layers can be tight, this one allows maximum freedom of movement.

PROS:

  • Light and no tightness when you swing
  • Fairly cheap addition to your golf wardrobe

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black
Sizes: S-XXL

Puma DRYLBL Rain Jacket

5 star review
waterproof golf jacket

RRP £150 | NOW £124.99

The Puma DRYLBL Rain Jacket is roomy and comfortable and will help you survive the tough winter months with no bother. The stormCELL extreme weather technology comes with a water-repellent finish, and it is designed to keep you protected from the wind and the rain on the golf course, as well as out and about in social settings. This jacket comes with a full zip closure which is beneficial for all golfers who want to adjust their fit at the top of the jacket. I thoroughly enjoyed wearing this jacket and I have full trust that I’ll be fully protected and covered when braving harsh weather conditions. The pocket bag and the shell is 100% polyester and this jacket isn’t as heavy or as much of a burden as other jackets. It is light and thin, and it won’t feel like you’re wearing a waterproof garment as you play in the wind and the rain.

PROS:

  • Light and then, not feeling like a waterproof jacket
  • The Black-Slate Sky colour is very smart
  • Snug, comfortably fit

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black Slate Sky
Sizes: S-XXL

Puma DRYLBL Rain Pant

5 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £125 | NOW £99

This pair of waterproof pants goes perfectly with the Puma DYLBL Rain Jacket. Even with a pair of trousers on, or if you prefer to wear waterproof trousers over some shorts, I didn’t find the fit too much to handle. Especially around waist, these pants were very forgiving and as the rain came down, my swing or stance didn’t feel restricted, which can often be the case with other pairs of waterproof bottoms. The pockets are uniquely designed so that the opening of the hole is still covered to protect your belongings and golf accessories from any rainfall. The colour is purely black, but this is all you need, and all I want, when it comes to playing golf in the rain. The bottom of the trousers was roomy and gave my feet and ankles some relief. You have some flexibility at the bottom with the zip on either side in case you need to loosen the grip around your legs – another favourable feature of these impressive waterproof pants.

PROS:

  • Smart black colour blends well with jacket
  • Roomy at waist and ankle height
  • Protective pocket design

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black
Sizes: S-XXL

Puma Removeable Pom Beanie

4 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £20 | NOW £12.50

As someone who hasn’t often worn beanie hats on the golf course, this Puma Pom Beanie hat has gone a long way to changing things overnight. For me, it is stylish, fun and a great fit which ticks all the boxes you want from a beanie – no matter how simple each feature is. The black and white colour scheme stands out from many other beanies I’ve seen, and it has a very snug fit on my head which made me feel protected and secure on the golf course. The turn-up cuff allows for extra protection if you need it, and it is perfectly finished with the Puma ‘P’ at the front. The material has been carefully constructed to keep your head warm no matter what conditions you face on the golf course. The Puma script across the main body of the hat might not be to every golfer’s liking, but this shouldn’t take away from what is a solid beanie.

PROS:

  • Black and white colour scheme stands out
  • Turn-up cuff gives extra protection option

CONS:

  • Repeated Puma script might not be to everyone’s taste

Colours: Black-Bright White
Sizes: One size

Puma DRYLBL Storm Bucket Cap

4 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £26.50 | NOW £26.50

If you are searching for a reasonably priced bucket cap that will keep you protected through the winter, then you don’t need to look further than the Puma DRYLBL Storm Bucket Cap. The black style is very straightforward while golfers will surely like the striking grey line across the top of the cap. It adds another colour dimension to the Puma ‘P’ placed at the front and centre of the cap as well. It is stylish and comfortable. When I tried it on for the first time, I was impressed with the fit and the light construction of the cap. For someone who is largely a stranger to wearing bucket caps on the golf course, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience, and this was down to the fit and the feel of this Puma product. This cap can also match with many other Puma products such as the Puma DRYLBL Rain Jacket and the Puma Cloudspun Colourblock ¼ zip.

PROS:

  • Comfortable and light
  • Colour scheme is simple and smart

CONS:

  • None

Colours: Black
Sizes: S/M – L/XL

Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel: Women’s Clothes

Puma Cloudspun Rockaway 1/4 Zip

4 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £60 | NOW £32.71

I love the casual hoodie style of this jumper especially the front kangaroo-style pocket that runs across the full front length of the jumper. I have tested this in what Puma are calling ‘Bold Blue Heather’ but personally I think it is more teal and I really like the shade.

This is thicker than Puma’s thinner summer mid-layers but still thin enough to be layered with other items from Puma’s autumn winter range such as the frost quilted vest.

I generally wear a UK size 8/10 in tops. This is a size small and fits really well, if anything this is on the slightly large side so if in doubt size down slightly. The good thing about this jumper is it has enough length to the body that it doesn’t ride up when swinging.

PROS:

  • Really sporty casual styling
  • Fun kangaroo style pocket
  • Great variety of colours

CONS:

  • None

Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: White, Navy, Strawberry Burst Heather, Bold Blue Heather

Puma Frost Quilted Vest

4 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £110 | NOW £109

This is a versatile gilet as the neutral black colourway means it can be paired with a wide variety of items. If you are someone who does like more colour, don’t worry Puma have this in numerous colours including a Eucalyptus green which looks really nice.

I like the fact the quilting gives this a decent depth of material that helps to keep you warm without making this too thick and bulky.

The front pockets are unzippered and are perfect for keeping your hands warm between shots. If you have more valuable items, you want to keep safe there is also a hidden zipped pocket down the side of the gilet which is very handy.

I generally wear a UK size 8/10 in tops. This is a size small and fits well, there is definitely more room around the back and shoulders which helps when swinging however, the lower half is on the snug side so I would advise sizing up if you are between sizes.

PROS:

  • Versatile
  • Wind and water-resistant
  • Great for layering

CONS:

  • None

Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: Black, Navy, Eucalyptus, White Glow

Puma Frost Quilted Jacket

4 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £130 | NOW £129

This is a really smart winter jacket, and personally, I think this is the perfect thickness for winter golf. There is still enough room to fit a base layer and thin jumper underneath and then the quilting on this will keep you plenty warm. I also like the fact the arm material is thinner than the main body so you still have lots of freedom of movement.

The front pockets are unzippered and are perfect for keeping your hands warm between shots. If you have more valuable items, you want to keep safe there is also a hidden zipped pocket down the side of the gilet which is very handy.

I generally wear a UK size 8/10 in tops. This is a size small and fits well, there is definitely enough room for swinging. I am only 5 foot 4 and would say the sleeves are a tad long but nothing that can’t be fixed by pulling them up slightly.

PROS:

  • Versatile
  • Wind and water-resistant
  • Great for layering

CONS:

  • None

Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: Black, Navy, Eucalyptus

Puma DRYLBL Rain Jacket

4.5 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £150 | NOW £149.99

For Autumn 2023, Puma has added waterproof jackets to their apparel line-up for the first time.

The Puma DRYLBL Rain Jacket has a very simple and smart black design. While overall I like this I do think it could be slightly more feminine in its shaping.

The material and styling were very comfortable, and I like the fact the wrists have added adjustability so you can make sure there is nothing interfering with your grip and swing.

There is also an element of stretch to the main material meaning you keep your range of movement throughout the swing.

I have been out in this on a few rainy days, and it has kept me warm and dry so this is a great option to keep you protected from the elements.

I am generally a UK size 8/10 in tops, but I ordered this in a medium to allow for layers underneath. While it does fit it is definitely on the large side, so I could of sized down easily. It is worth trying this on before buying or going down a size.

PROS:

  • Waterproof
  • Subtle stylish design

CONS:

  • Could have more shape

Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: Black

Puma DRYLBL Rain Pant

4.5 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £125 | NOW £124.99

These are really comfortable waterproof trousers. I like the high waist design that easily keeps you covered up from the elements.

Lots of waterproof trousers can be very thin, these are slightly on the thicker side which is great for layering and keeping you warm in winter.

They have a snap-close button and side zips on the legs, making these really easy to take on and off whilst you are out on the golf course as necessary.

I am generally a UK size 10, so I ordered these in a medium. While they fit they were slightly on the large side, so I definitely could of sized down slightly.

The most important bit really is these have kept me dry in the recent rainy spell we have had.

Overall I really enjoyed testing these and they will be getting significant use this winter.

PROS:

  • Waterproof
  • Thick enough to add warmth
  • Easy to put on and off

CONS:

  • None

Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: Black

Puma Wrmlbl Pom Beanie

4.5 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £20.00 | NOW £18.95

When the temperature drops, a beanie is a necessity for me to enjoy my round of golf.

I love the colour of this Eucalyptus Pom Beanie hat from Puma, as well as the different textures and detailing. The small Puma logo on a leather pop-out contrasts really nicely with the rest of the hat.

Probably what is most important is how much warmth this provides. The inner lining is fleece-lined and extremely thick to keep you as warm as possible. This liner is also very soft and comfortable.

PROS:

  • Very warm interior
  • Stand out colourway
  • Fleece lining is very comfortable

CONS:

  •  Slightly on the large side

Sizes: One size
Colours: Blazer or Eucalyptus

Puma Women’s Utility Pants

4 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £60

Taking them out of the packet you could tell that they were thicker than regular golf trousers. The insides of the leg were lined with brushed fabric which felt very soft. This is the same with the pockets.

The trousers come in either black or navy and have a single hem down the front. For a pair of golf trousers, these are very flattering being skinny, yet very stretchy.

In terms of the fit of these trousers, I wore a small, being a UK size 10 in bottoms. At 5ft 8 they were a perfect length. These are a skinny fit, with a great amount of elasticity. They were easy to bend down in on the greens when reading putts or marking my ball. Around the waist, they were a snug fit and with no belt loops, you really do need to consult Puma’s size chart before buying. The fastening of these trousers let them down in my opinion. The small zip and latch on the side of the waistband was fiddly, with the zip feeling quite delicate.

For a pair of water-resistant trousers, they held up really well and dried off fairly quickly too which was great.

PROS

  • Very stretchy
  • Look great
  • Water-resistant

CONS

  • Fiddly zip and latch

Colours: Black, Navy Blazer
Sizes: UK XS-XXL

Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel: Golf Shoes

Puma
Ignite Articulate

4.5 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £140 | NOW £89

When I slipped these shoes on, I was immediately delighted with the fit. Some golf shoes require you to go a size higher or lower because of their design, but this was far from the case with the Puma Ignite Articulate golf shoes.

This was clear to feel when I slipped them on and it became even more obvious when I began to walk the course and take my swings. The shoe was no burden on my feet, I had no blisters despite wearing them for the first time, and I’d say they were fairly light on my feet too.

The Ignite PU foam is included to provide a high-energy return and long-lasting cushioning. Time will tell if the Ignite foam cushioning will serve me for a number of years, but if my experience with the shoe so far is anything to go by, I have full confidence in this product.

The design of this shoe is centred around comfort and versatile performance, which ticks the main boxes of what everyone should be looking for.

  • Read the full review here.

PROS

  • The slip-on construction is very comfortable
  • The smart lace closure design looks and feels good
  • Very comfortuble

CONS

  • Some golfers might not want to pay £140.00

Sizes: UK 7-12 (inc. half sizes)
Colours: Black-Cool Dark Grey, White-Puma Silver-High Rise, Quiet Shade-Puma Silver-Quiet Shade

Puma Ignite Blaze Pro

4.5 star review
Best Puma Autumn Winter Apparel

RRP £99.99 | NOW £59.99

These are the perfect golf shoes for when the weather isn’t perfect underfoot. The textured outsole is paired with six studs to make sure you are stable on any surface.

I much prefer to wear spiked shoes for golf, regardless of season, but these have been exceptional when testing on damp, muddier ground.

The heel cage support is an added bonus and helps make your foot feel very locked in so you can stay aggressive through the ball in all situations.

Underfoot the full length midsole cushioning helps with energy return and keeps your feet feeling comfortable throughout your round.

I have been out on the course in all weather in these and so far they have kept my feet warm and dry.

I am a UK 6, and a size 6 in these fit me perfectly, so they seemed very true to size. These provide a very comfortable fit and would definitely work for players with a slightly narrower foot due to tapering in down to the toes.

PROS:

  • Excellent traction and grip
  • Very comfortable
  • Great ankle and foot support

CONS:

  • White may not be the best colour for muddy courses

Sizes: UK 4-8 (inc. half sizes)
Colours: White or Black
