Best Adidas Winter Golf Apparel

Adidas Rain.RDY full zip jacket

5 star review

RRP £159

This is the waterproof jacket you have been looking for. Available in both black and hemp colour options, it is light, breathable and extremely waterproof. As a bonus, it is made from 100% recycled materials!

I love wearing this jacket as it’s so light and nice to wear that I often wear it when it isn’t raining, as it offers great protection from all the elements.

I really like the adjustable sleeve cuffs that help keep water and the jacket off my grip, and it’s stretchy enough to be able to wear the correct fitted size. I love how it fits with the draw cord around the hem.

This is one of the best waterproof jackets I’ve ever tested. You will not regret buying this waterproof jacket for winter.

PROS

  • It can be worn as a warm jacket and not just a waterproof
  • Brilliant sleeve cuffs
  • Great value for money

CONS

  • None

Sizes: XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL
Colour: Hemp/Black

 Adidas Rain.RDY golf trousers

5 star review
waterproof golf trousers

RRP £110

There is nothing sexy about a pair of waterproof trousers. They are a necessary inclusion in your winter golf bag but not often something a golfer is pleased to put on or enjoy wearing.

The Adidas Rain.rdy golf trousers are super lightweight and easy to get on and off. I actually would be pretty happy wearing them with shorts or even nothing underneath as they aren’t super baggy and a terrible fit like most pairs of waterproof trousers.

They are extremely waterproof and I really like how quiet the trousers are when on and marching around a wet golf course.

The zip pockets offer another layer of protection from the rain too.

You will not find a better value for money pair of waterproof trousers, in my opinion, this winter.

PROS

  • Super lightweight
  • Great stretchy fit
  • Could easily be worn as regular trousers

CONS

  • No cons

Sizes: XS-2XL
Colour: Hemp / Black

Adidas Ultimate365 Tour Frostguard full zip padded vest

4.5 star review
best golf gilets

RRP £150

A good gilet can be the difference between a good day out in the cold and a bad one. They are versatile enough to be worn under a bigger waterproof jacket, but also warm enough to be worn as a top layer when the sun comes out and a jacket is too much.

The Adidas Ultimate365 Frostguard full zip padded vest is as good as it gets. The colour options go with any outfit, it has super lightweight insulation between the layers which keep the heat in and the wind out, and it also is slightly water repellent so when you get the more than likely showers we know are coming you don’t have to fight your jacket on and off throughout the round.

This is a really good winter gilet.

PROS

  • Lightweight
  • Packs in bag nicely
  • Warm

CONS

  • Expensive

Sizes: XS-2XL
Colour: Collegiate navy / black / olive strata

Adidas Cold.Rdy
Base Layer

5 star review
best thermal base layers

RRP £45

Everyone should have a good base layer. I’ve previously shied away from them as owning a few poor ones has led me to having to pull it down and adjust it after every shot became too much of a pain, so I just opted to wear more baggy layers instead.

The Adidas base layer gave me no such problems, and I’m more than happy to recommend it. It’s thick and warm, easier to get on and off than previous base layers I’ve owned, and it stays in place when you swing.

They are a pretty essential item to have on during winter as they allow you to wear less bulky layers keeping your swing free and your drives long.

I like the logo on the neck and the forearms are tight enough and the right length. Highly recommend.

PROS

  • Warm
  • Easy to get on & off
  • Thick

CONS

  • None

Sizes: XS-2XL
Colour: Crew Navy / Carbon

Adidas Ultimate365 Tour Wind.Rdy Warm golf pants

5 star review
best winter golf trousers

RRP £85

Trousers are not talked about enough when it comes to keeping golf enjoyable throughout winter. Most golfers opt to wear waterproof trousers as well as their regular chinos without considering their other options.

The Adidas Ultimate 365 Tour wind.rdy warm golf pants have 2 layers, that stretch nicely, a water repellent fabric to keep you dry during those light showers and tapered legs so that we can still look kind of cool when trying to stay warm.

There’s also the added bonus they are made from recycled plastic, and have a great pocket configuration; two zip fleece lined pockets at the front and a scorecard holding pocket on the back.

I found these trousers extremely warm and comfortable in test, and will be wearing them all winter long.

PROS

  • Fit is brilliant
  • Very Warm
  • Great pockets

CONS

  • None

Sizes: XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL
Colour: Black & Collegiate Navy

Adidas Oasis Sweatshirt

5 star review

RRP £60

I spent a lot of time outdoors, playing golf, teaching golf, walking the dog, or any hobby I have. Recently (although very late to the party) I’ve become a huge fleece convert, only just realising how warm but versatile they are for any weather conditions.

The adidas grey funky fleece has a high elasticated neck that fits quite tight to keep the warmth in, as well as fitted cuffs on the sleeves. It is quite an oversized fit and baggy on the shoulders; I quite like the way it looks but others may want to size down.

This fleece has been perfect in test for me as I’ve worn it in pretty cool conditions. It fits nicely with a polo underneath, but I’ve opted a couple of times to just wear a base layer underneath for double the warmth.

You will see me wearing this fleece all winter long, be it on the golf course, teaching on the range or just out and about in town. I love the funky design and like all the different colour options.

PROS

  • Extremely warm
  • Bold unique design
  • Great colour options
  • Very comfortable

CONS

  • None

Sizes: XS-XXL
Colour: Grey Three / Arctic Night / Olive Strata

Adidas Textured
Parka Jumper

4.5 star review
adidas winter golf

RRP £69.99

The Adidas textured parka is a great layer to have at your disposal during the coming winter months. It fits well under waterproofs and other layers or can be worn as an outer layer, providing plenty of protection from the elements.

The inside is soft fleece, which feels really warm and comfortable next to the skin, and the outer is water resistant, keeping you dry during drizzle.

This jumper for me actually gives me the option to carry and wear fewer layers when it’s cold as it is so warm. It features a horizontal zip pocket on the chest, which Adidas say is for the scorecard but doesn’t feel overly functional, but the hood is adjustable and well-fitted which gives you that added protection when you need it.

This jumper will get a lot of action from me this winter.

PROS

  • Warm
  • Fits wonderfully when on
  • Good protection from the wind

CONS

  • Slightly small around the neck

Sizes: XS-XXL
Colours: Collegiate Navy / White / Olive Strata

Adidas Codechaos Laceless Golf Shoe

4.5 star review
Adidas Codechaos Laceless Golf Shoe Review

RRP £160.00

I really enjoyed wearing these shoes out on the golf course. They did a great job of keeping me warm and I didn’t suffer at all with wet feet on what was a really wet day. Even the most waterproof shoes let water in over the top when trudging through heavy, wet rough, but with the sock-like lining being waterproof and tight around my ankle, this was never going to happen.

These are obviously spikeless golf shoes, which is usually something I avoid when the course is wet. I often slip pushing incorrectly off my right foot in the swing so always look for something with a lot of big spikes. Adidas’s twist grip wraparound outsole is much grippier than I was expecting, as not only did I not slip when swinging but there was no hint of slipping when scampering up steep slopes around the course.

Adidas have done a great job of trying to make a fairly uncool although functional style of shoe different and interesting, and the features they have make them a great option for golfers looking for golf boots this winter.

If you look carefully enough you will see me wearing these, and I have no issue telling all the golfers that suffer from muddy courses in winter that these golf boots are the solution to the issue we all face. They even clean up well after a round!

PROS

  • Warm
  • Great traction and stability
  • Very waterproof

CONS

  • Slightly small around the neck when putting on

Sizes: 3-14 UK
Colours: Black/Red

Adidas
Cold.RDY Pom Beanie

5 star review
adidas winter golf

RRP £23

The right beanie can be a game-changer for a golfer surviving winter. Not only should it fit well and keep you warm, but it also needs to look great whilst wearing.

The Adidas Cold.Rdy pom beanie is as close to perfect as you are going to find. It has insulated cold.rdy fleece lining that keeps you warm in even the nippiest breeze, it’s well fitted to your head so it doesn’t slip up or down during the round, and the colour options are brilliant, with the jacquard design to keep you looking sharp.

I wore this on a windy day on the course and then to teach in and had no issue wearing it for 5-6 hours without adjustment, and I really like how it brightens up the standard dark winter golf outfit.

PROS

  • Fits great
  • Fleece lined
  • Very warm

CONS

  • No cons

Sizes: One size
Colour: Yellow / black / arctic fusion

Ultimate 365 Tour Monogram Mock Neck Long-Sleeved Top

5 star review
adidas winter golf

RRP £70

This has to be one of the more versatile winter pieces in my wardrobe. It works great as a base layer or t-shirt and layers really well with the rest of the Adidas winter range.

The long-sleeve nature and mock neck design mean this adds a lot of warmth on cold days. I like the fact the arms are on the longer side so you keep your wrists warm.

I love the bold pattern, and it is nice to wear something more unique and interesting out on the golf course.

The knitted fabric includes moisture-wicking wool to keep you dry and comfortable out on the golf course.

I generally wear a UK size 8 top, I got this in a small, and it fit nicely but was probably slightly on the large size. I would generally say that across the Adidas range, sizing down one size is always a good idea.

PROS

  • Soft comfortable material
  • Bold pattern
  • Versatile

CONS

  • None

Sizes: 2XS – XL
Colour: Black / Aqua / White

Adidas Ultimate365 Tour Wind.Rdy Fleece Hooded Jacket

4.5 star review
adidas winter golf

RRP £70

This is a perfect windbreaker for the winter. The external fabric does a great job of keeping out that chilly air. It also keeps out light rain showers.

It has a polar fleece lining, which is exceptionally warm and perfect for those cold winter days. This has become a go to hoodie for me on and off the golf course due to the warmth and comfort.

I love the casual hoodie styling. The quarter-zip styling makes it very easy to put on and off. I like how the material gathers as the wrists so it stays away from your wrists.

Perhaps the white colourway isn’t the most practical for muddy winter golf.

PROS

  • Super soft
  • Exceptionally warm
  • Very comfortable

CONS

  • Limited colours

Sizes: XS – XL
Colour: Red / White

Adidas Rain.RDY Rain Jacket

5 star review
adidas winter golf

RRP £110

I love the fact this isn’t just another plain waterproof jacket. I think Adidas has nailed it with the contrasting colours and how they have used this for detailing.

Waterproofs with a hood seem to really divide opinions but I have found this great for keeping my head dry and face protected when stuck out in showers on the golf course. You can pack this away if you don’t want to use it.

There is adjustability at the waist, on the wrist cuffs and around the hood so you can dial in the sizing.

I generally wear a UK size 8 and got this in a small. I found this was perfect sizing so I could fit a few layers underneath and still swing comfortably.

Now to the big question, is this waterproof? Well it has kept me very dry through the last few months with no problems at all. If you are after a stylish jacket to keep you dry, this is the perfect option.

PROS

  • Lightweight
  • Packs in bag nicely
  • Waterproof

CONS

  • None

Sizes: XS – XL
Colour: Collegiate Navy

Ultimate Tour 365 Tour Frostguard Vest

5 star review
adidas winter golf

RRP £130

I love a gilet, and I think this could be the best I have ever owned. I love the simplicity of the design and how well it pairs with a variety of other Adidas items.

This gilet is extremely well insulated. I was amazed at how much warmth it added for a relatively small jacket without bulk that allows you to keep all your swing mobility.

There are two front pockets which are fleece-lined, which is amazing for warmth. The way these are angled is clever to prevent items from falling out as easily. There is also a small inner zipped pocket on the upper chest, which is ideal for valuables.

Although this isn’t waterproof, it has a water-resistant finish that keeps you dry in all but heavy rain.

I generally wear a UK Size 8 and got this in a small and it fitted great.

PROS

  • Extremely warm
  • Soft fleece lining
  • Great pockets

CONS

  • None

Sizes: XS – XL
Colour: Black / Red

Adidas Full-Zip Fleece Jacket

5 star review
adidas winter golf

RRP £90

I am obsessed with how cosy this fleece is from Adidas. It is super thick, soft and warm and one of the most comfortable jackets I own. So much so that I have been wearing it both on and off the golf course as the weather has dropped colder.

This is very much an outerwear jacket, and a small size still allowed me to fit a base layer, t-shirt, and thin mid-layer underneath. If you do want something that fits tightly I would recommend sizing down a size or two.

It has two front pockets that are also fleece-lined and perfect for keeping your hands warm throughout the round.

This perhaps isn’t as versatile as some of the other pieces in the range, but it is definitely the warmest and a no-brainer for golfers wanting to stay warm this winter.

PROS

  • Super soft
  • Exceptionally warm
  • Very comfortable

CONS

  • Bulky

Sizes: XS – XL
Colour: Black / White / Aqua

Adidas Rain.RDY Tracksuit Bottoms

5 star review
adidas autumn winter apparel

RRP £110

These are ideal waterproof trousers. They are exceptionally easy to get on over trousers or leggings thanks to the draw cord closure at the waist and the zip up the calf.

Primarily, these are designed to keep out the rain and they do a great job of that. I have survived a variety of light and heavy rain showers in these.

They also add a lot of warmth and I often wear them with leggings underneath in winter to stay warm even if it isn’t raining.

I like the fact they have a more sporty, trendy style than a lot of waterproof trousers on the market.

In terms of sizing, I would recommend sizing down as these are on the larger side, but the adjustability at the waist means you have some leeway on this.

My only slight disappointment with these is the colour options. The matching Rain.RDY jacket is navy, but the trousers are only available in black.

PROS

  • Lightweight
  • Packs in bag nicely
  • Waterproof

CONS

  • No navy option to match jacket

Sizes: XS – XL
Colour: Black
