DeChambeau’s average driving distance of 323.7 yards helped him gain the most strokes off the tee of any player on the PGA Tour this season. He gained +0.328 shots more off the tee than World No 1 Rahm in second place.

To put that in perspective across the entire season he was 22 shots better than Rahm off the tee. That’s a serious advantage.

In terms of brands, Ping take the lead on the PGA Tour with four of the top ten using their drivers. This is closely followed by TaylorMade with three players in the top 10.

The top 10 on the European Tour was a lot tighter, with just 20.77 shots separating Laurie Canter in 1st and Jordan Smith in 10th.

As for the LPGA Tour, they didn’t collect strokes gained data for the 2021 season, so instead I’ve run down the 10 longest drivers on the circuit…
