Castore Top Apparel Picks 2026

Castore Men’s Golf Trousers

4.5 star review

Castore Men's golf trouser | Source: NCG

Castore’s men’s golf trousers are an excellent choice for the upcoming season. They are a versatile choice for your lower half as they’re both water resistant but still very breathable and don’t feel claustrophobic in the heat.

This means if you’re heading out for a day on the course where you’re not sure if it’s going to rain or be baking hot then these are probably your best option.

I found the fabric to be an excellent fit for me, being well trimmed without feeling too baggy or too tight. They also feature 360 stretch technology which is perfect for unrestricted movement during the golf swing.

These trousers come in both navy and cream so if you like the look of them it could be worth picking up both.

  PROS

  • Great material
  • Nice fit
  • Water Resistant

CONS

  • Just one leg length

RRP: £78

Sizes: Waist – 30-38 / Leg – 30

Colours: Navy and Windchime

Castore Active Cap

4.5 star review

Castore Active cap | Source: NCG

Castore’s Active Cap is a simple but very effective option if you’re looking for something versatile to wear both on and off the course. It’s made from a lightweight nylon material which feels comfortable throughout the round, while still being durable enough to handle regular use. The addition of halo eyelets is a nice touch too, helping with breathability so you don’t feel overheated on warmer days.

I found the fit to be really easy to adjust thanks to the fastening at the back, meaning you can get it sitting exactly how you like without any fuss. It’s one of those caps you can just throw on and know it’ll do the job.

The overall look is clean and minimal with subtle branding, making it easy to pair with pretty much any outfit. If you’reafter a reliable, everyday cap, this is a solid option.

PROS

  • Versatile
  • Good shape
  • Great Price

CONS

  • Some might find it a bit plain

RRP: £22

Sizes: One Size

Colours: White, Midnight Navy, Gunmetal, Black, Lime, Rock Grey, Sage and Mushroom

Castore Men’s LVS Woven Jacket

5 star review
Castore LVS woven jacket | Source: NCG
Castore LVS woven jacket | Source: NCG

The Castore Men’s LVS Woven Jacket feels premium from the second you put it on. The shaped shoulders and sleeves create a great fit, while the adjustable cuffs ensure they don’t interfere with your grip. The side slits significantly improve mobility, making the jacket ideal for swinging in.

The jacket also features a Layered Ventilation System (LVS), which keeps you warm while minimising the need for additional layers. The material is water-resistant, making it well suited to overcast days and light drizzle.

Packed with ventilation, the jacket keeps you warm without leaving you sweaty, making it more comfortable to wear and helping to reduce odour.

I would recommend this jacket to anyone looking for something between a heavy waterproof and a midlayer, offering warmth and water resistance without feeling too heavy.

PROS

  • Shaped shoulders and sleeves
  • Warm
  • Ventilated

CONS

  • Premium price point

RRP: £120

Sizes: S-2XL

Castore Men’s Golf Pique Stripe Polo

5 star review

Perhaps my favourite polo that I have tried this year. The Men’s Golf Pique Stripe Polo provides both comfort and style in equal measure. Crafted with performance stretch fabric, the shirt is lightweight and offers great mobility throughout the swing. Perfect for a hot day, the shirt feels much like a sports top when wearing it, helping you stay cool and focused during your round.

Despite its sporty feel, the shirt remains very smart and versatile, making it suitable both on and off the course. The set-in short sleeves give it a modern, athletic look, while still maintaining a clean and structured appearance. The striped design adds a subtle bit of interest to the style without being too bold.

The moisture-wicking technology, combined with the 100% polyester material, makes the shirt highly breathable and effective in keeping you comfortable in hot temperatures. Even over longer rounds, it does a good job of managing sweat and maintaining that lightweight feel.

Overall, if you’re looking to buy some new golf polos, this Castore option should definitely be in your consideration.

PROS

  • Stylish
  • Breathable
  • Versatile

CONS

  • None

Colours: Sky Blue, White and Navy/White

Castore Men’s Golf Map Printed Short Sleeve Polo Top

4 star review
Castore Golf Map Pritned Short Sleeve Polo | Source: NCG
Castore Golf Map Pritned Short Sleeve Polo | Source: NCG

“Engineered for extreme movement”, say Castore of their golf map printed polo shirt. While it might be hard for us mere mortals to describe anything we do with a golf club in such a fashion, Castore have come up with a comfortable polo with an eye-catching on course design.

Made mostly of recycled polyester, with the ubiquitous hint of elastane for stretch, this is a fit which moves freely with your swing. The stand collar feels a bit firmer than you’d normally see on garments of this type, but that is a plus. It stays in position and, for those of you of paler complexion like me, actually makes it easier to apply sunscreen.

The map print mimics the shape of golf holes before merging into a block colour towards the bottom of the shirt. I like the striking pattern but am aware it won’t be to everyone’s taste.

PROS

  • Comfortable fit
  • Moisture wicking is impressive
  • Bold print

CONS

  • The map print may not appeal to everyone

RRP: £55

Sizes: XS-2XL

Colours: Ibiza blue / Navy / Lavender

Castore Men’s Golf LVS Hybrid Gilet

5 star review
Castore LVS hybrid gilet | Source: NCG
Castore LVS hybrid gilet | Source: NCG

A golf gilet has never really been in my wardrobe. I’ve typically opted for a midlayer or a jacket when it gets cold on the course. After trying this LVS Hybrid Jacket, I can safely say this will now be in my golf bag throughout the summer – ideal for when the wind picks up during a round.

The gilet features Castore’s Layered Ventilation System (LVS). Having tried other Castore products with this system, I’m a fan. LVS is a thermoregulatory system that keeps you warm when needed, while remaining breathable so you don’t overheat. The two-way zip adds comfort regardless of what you’re wearing, and the zipped pockets improve practicality.

The gilet works perfectly as a midlayer replacement. Its lightweight feel means that, unlike a heavier layer, you hardly notice you’re wearing it.

  PROS

  • Warm
  • Lightwieght
  • Practical

CONS

  • Premium price point

RRP: £105

Sizes: XS-2XL

Colours: Navy and Windchime

Castore Men’s Golf Shorts

4 star review

Castore golf shorts | Source: NCG

Castore has never really been on my radar as a golf brand. The first I heard of them was when they were sponsoring the 2022 US Open winner Matt Fitzpatrick for a season or so. I associate them more with cricket and football than golf.

As a sports brand, I was interested to see how their quality would stack up against heavyweights like Under Armour and Adidas. I could find no reason as to why these shorts aren’t as good as the ones from those two, amongst others.

They felt comfortable. At no point did they rub on my inner thigh, which can often be a problem with some golf shorts, especially during the warmer months. I’m a size 32 waist and felt as though they did fit to size for the most part but are noticeable a little baggier than some other options out there. Their water-resistant capabilities make these an appealing option.

PROS

  • Comfortable fit
  • Water resistant
  • Zip pockets for extra security

CONS

  • Baggier design won’t be for everyone

RRP: £65

Sizes: 28-38

Colours: Navy, Ibiza Blue and Windchime

Castore Men’s Golf LVS Quarter Zip Long Sleeve Top

5 star review

Castore Golf LVS Quarter Zip Long Sleeve Top | Source: NCG

Modern clothing technology is marvellous, isn’t it? I’d need a boffin to explain how Castore have managed to make their LVS Quarter Zip Long Sleeve top so light, yet so effective in windy conditions but suffice to say it is a triumph – a layer that will give you good protection and is still compact enough to easily fit in your golf bag without adding any weight.

I tested this with a number of layers, and on its own, and the layered ventilation system technology – designed to help with temperature regulation – does a great job. I didn’t feel too warm when combined with other clothing, or too cold without them.

The fit is a little snugger than you might expect to get with a more traditional mid-layer, but it moves very freely through the swing, despite the polyamide fabric having a certain rigidness at the touch.

It’s very breathable, whatever you partner it with, and it’s bound to be a feature of my spring and autumn golf wardrobe.

PROS

  • Incredibly light
  • Breathable, yet sturdy, fabric
  • Very easy to swing while wearing

CONS

  • None

RRP: £78

Sizes: XS-2XL

Colours: Sky blue / Navy / Gunmetal

Castore Active 3 Pack Ankle Socks

5 star review
Castore ankle socks | Source: NCG
Castore ankle socks | Source: NCG

The Castore active 3 ankle socks are a really good choice when going out onto the course.

When it comes to socks the main things you look for are comfort and durability which I can attest to both having worn them over several rounds already, the are definitely comfortable to wear and haven’t show any signs of fraying or ware.

The quick drying fabric means you don’t get uncomfortable even on the warmest days of the year and at £15 for three pairs they’re also really good value for money.

Pick up a pair this year if you’re looking to improve your golf sock collection.

PROS

  • Comfortable
  • Durable
  • Affordable
