What are our panellists’ favourite non-English courses?
Unsurprisingly, there were many British selections. In Scotland, Muirfield and North Berwick were popular choices…
Mike Robertson: Muirfield. The opulence of the lunch and clubhouse is one thing, but the course is as understated and classy it gets.
David Walker: Muirfield, incredible routing and perfect turf and impeccable conditioning
Steve Carroll: North Berwick – It’s Disneyland for golfers with iconic holes and some sensational views. I never get tired of playing there.
Craig Redston: North Berwick
Neil White: North Berwick

There were also others, including some Open Championship venues!
Craig Morrison: Comrie has a magical nine-holer. Give me a James Braid course on a Scottish hillside and I am happy.
Joss Powick: Royal Troon. Attending the 1989 Open is where golf began for me.
Dove Jones: The Castle Course at St Andrews
Steve Watton: So many, especially in Scotland. Special mention to Turnberry and Royal Dornoch
