The Open winner is a Cleveland-Srixon staff player so he is contracted to use their ball, irons and wedges. Selected as one of six of Luke Donald’s Captain Picks for the 2025 Ryder Cup he eventually holed a putt on the 18th green to secure the Cup, cementing his place as a ‘talisman’ for the European team.

As well as his 2019 Open Championship win, Lowry has also claimed three PGA Tour wins. He also has six DP World Tour victories to his name and is very much a staple of European golf.

His 2026 has started well though he should have really claimed the Cognizant Classic but double bogeys on the 16th and 17th holes in the final round scuppered his chances of claiming a fourth PGA Tour victory.

So, how much has the Irishman’s bag changed since his win in 2019? Let’s take a closer look…

Shane Lowry WITB 2026

Lowry had the Srixon ZX5 driver in play for his first major victory and it seemed like a keeper as he still had it in play two years on. Fast forward to 2026 and he is now playing the new 2025 Srixon ZXi driver – a driver that got a great review when the NCG team reviewed it – see the video review below…

He swapped out his TaylorMade M4 3-wood for the new SIM2 Ti model in 2023 but, in 2024, he took this out and kept just a TaylorMade M5 5-wood in his set-up. He has chosen for 2026 to put the TaylorMade Qi35 3-wood in the bag.

Shane is known for his stingers and so has introduced a Srixon ZXi utility 3 iron.

Lowry loves a combo set in his irons. For 2026 he continues with the 2025 Srixon ZXi5 4 and 5 iron and the 2025 Srixon ZXi7 6-PW – similar to the 2025 driver they got rave reviews from the NCG review team. See the video review below….

He carries three wedges in the Cleveland RTZ model.

Lowry swapped putter after spending lots of time with Rory. He has moved from an Odyssey 2-Ball to a TaylorMade Spider Tour Z. He rounds out his bag with the Srixon Z Star XV golf ball.

About the author

Max Mcvittie

A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members.

Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.

Having studied at the University of Sunderland, Max is starting out his dream career in sports journalism. During his time at university, he picked up valuable work experience at Reach PLC, BBC Radio Cumbria and GiveMeSport, whilst also getting work published in the Teesside Live. He also spent time working at a local weekly newspaper, Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser, as a general news reporter partially covering some local sport just north of the border in Langholm.

Max has just started his journey with the NCG working as the assistant equipment editor. He looks forwarded to reviewing the latest golf equipment, taking up an interest in reviews when buying his first golf club, a Cleveland RTX wedge.

With his bag not going under too many changes throughout the last few years, Max carries an M3 driver, Titleist GT3 Fairway Wood, M2 hybrid, a set of M2 irons, Callaway Jaws wedges and a TaylorMade Spider putter. And yes, Max is a bit of a self-proclaimed TaylorMade fan boy.
