Equipment editor Paul Miller takes a look at the clubs Viktor Hovland has in his bag for 2026

Viktor Hovland turned pro in 2019. Since then, he has become a PGA Tour superstar by winning the Memorial Tournament, BMW Championship and the FedEx Cup in the 2023 season.

He also starred in the European 2023 and 2025 Ryder Cup team that was victorious in Italy and New York respectively.

The young Norwegian has struggled somewhat since his brilliant 2023 season. Although he picked up a victory the Valspar Championship 2025, which at the time was his first since winning the Tour Championship in 2023, it has been an inconsistent spell on the whole.

But the 28-year-old returned to the winners circle at the 2026 Travelers Championship as he pipped Scottie Scheffler in a playoff, picking up his eighth PGA Tour title in the process.

Here’s what he had in the bag as he took down the world number one…

What’s in Viktor Hovalnd’s Bag?

As you would expect from a Ping staffer there is a fair bit of the brand’s clubs that feature in Hovland’s set-up. The core is mostly made up of Ping clubs, with a few exceptions here and there.

At the top of his bag, the Norwegian uses the latest Ping low spin driver – the Ping G440 LST driver. After passing on the G430, he chose to update the big stick in his bag this time around.

Unlike a lot of tour professionals in the modern game, Hovland doesn’t use a seven or a five-wood, only a standard lofted three-wood option. His model of choice is the brand-new TaylorMade Qi4D for 2026. His metalwood line-up is rounded up by the inclusion of the Ping G440 hybrid – it is always good to see a fellow hybrid user doing so well!

In terms of irons he opts for a full set of Ping i210 irons from 4-iron down to pitching wedge. He carries Ping S259 50° and 56° wedges as well as a Ping Glide 2.0 lob wedge.
