Laurie Canter will be the first player from LIV Golf to compete at Sawgrass – but what will be in his bag at the Players and for the 2025 season?

Laurie Canter is an English professional golfer who recently was a member of the LIV Golf, before returning to the DP and PGA Tours.

Laurie turned professional in 2011 and made the move to LIV Golf in 2022 before his return to the DP World Tour in 2024.

Since returning to the DP World Tour he has won twice – once in 2024 and most recently in 2025 at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship.

He has continued his good form in 2025 finishing second at the Investec South African Open Championship – losing out in a playoff to Dylan Naidoo.

As a result, he has earned his place in the Players Championship at Sawgrass. After participating in eight LIV Golf tournaments in 2023, he has now moved into the top 50 with no suspensions affecting him, making him eligible for the event. Canter will be the first player from LIV Golf to compete in the PGA Tour’s flagship tournament.

But what clubs will his caddie be carrying round the famous fairways and greens at Sawgrass?

Laurie Canter WITB

At the top of the bag he plays a mix of old and new Ping woods. His driver is the G430 LST whilst his 3 wood is the new G440 LST.

He then chooses a Ping utility iron before gaming Ping irons 4-PW.

When it comes to wedges he opts for two Ping and one Titleist wedge.

He finishes of the bag with a Ping putter and his ball of choice is the Titleist Pro V1.
