Jason Day WITB 2026: A Ping, TaylorMade and Titleist combo!

Jason Day might be getting known for the Malbon clothing he wears but what clubs does he have in play for the 2026 season?

Jason Day won for the first time on the PGA Tour in five years at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson.

The Australian lost form for some time, but bounced back at TPC Craig Ranch and now we see him regularly on PGA Tour leader boards once again.

He has won 13 times on the PGA Tour and five of those titles came in 2015, the same year he won the PGA Championship. He won his sole major title at Whistling Straits. Day has 10 other top-five finishes in major tournaments.

He has also played in four Presidents Cup teams. He competed for the International team for the first time in 2011, the same year he came second at the Masters and the US Open.

In previous years, Day has not only made headlines with his play but also his clothing.

In January 2024, Day signed with Malbon and became the brand’s first PGA Tour professional on its team. His get-up has become a subject of intrigue for golf fans online, who get excited about his clothing choices on tour.

He has also partnered with Payntr golf when it comes to his shoes – with his new shoe getting 5 out 5 from the NCG review team.

What’s in Jason Day’s bag?

Day has a fairly mixed golf bag and has done his fair share of experimenting since leaving TaylorMade in 2021. The Australian still opts for the Ping’s G430 LST driver and two TaylorMade fairway woods – a three and a seven wood.

Over the last year he has changed his fairway wood set-up switching out his SIM Max 3-wood for a TaylorMade Stealth 2 plus option. He also uses this model for his five-wood and the basic Stealth 2 model for his 7-wood.

Day has also made some changes to his irons. He previously gamed a TaylorMade P790 four-iron and then the P7TW’s 5-PW. But he now just uses a full set of Avoda Prototype V3s.

When it comes to wedges he also opts for what Avoda has on offer with two Prototypes of different models.

For his putter he goes back to TaylorMade and one of their trusted mallets, using their Itsy Bitsy Spider Limited in red.

Bridgestone Tour B X (with mindset) is the ball Day currently has in play.

About the author

Max Mcvittie

A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members.

Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.

Having studied at the University of Sunderland, Max is starting out his dream career in sports journalism. During his time at university, he picked up valuable work experience at Reach PLC, BBC Radio Cumbria and GiveMeSport, whilst also getting work published in the Teesside Live. He also spent time working at a local weekly newspaper, Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser, as a general news reporter partially covering some local sport just north of the border in Langholm.

Max has just started his journey with the NCG working as the assistant equipment editor. He looks forwarded to reviewing the latest golf equipment, taking up an interest in reviews when buying his first golf club, a Cleveland RTX wedge.

With his bag not going under too many changes throughout the last few years, Max carries an M3 driver, Titleist GT3 Fairway Wood, M2 hybrid, a set of M2 irons, Callaway Jaws wedges and a TaylorMade Spider putter. And yes, Max is a bit of a self-proclaimed TaylorMade fan boy.
