Tiger’s back! And he’s got a new job…
If you’re going to get yourself a caddie for a junior tournament, it may as well be a 15-time major champion
He’s won 82 PGA Tour titles, including 15 majors, and spent a never-to-be-beaten 683 weeks as World No 1. But now, despite all his accolades, Tiger Woods has taken on a new challenge as he caddies for son Charlie Woods at the Notah Begay III Junior National Golf Championship. And fans are absolutely losing their minds.
Swapping his iconic red for a white caddie bib, Tiger has gone ultra-Dad mode by assisting on Charlie Woods’s bag at the three-day, 54-hole tournament in Koasati Pines at Coushatta in Louisiana. And, as always, he sure looks the part…
Now that’s a sight we never thought we’d be seeing. For those wondering, Charlie Woods is now 13-years-old and is already a scratch golfer, boasting a swing that looks all too familiar as he looks to follow in his Dad’s footsteps…
Some swing. Although the star of the show is undoubtedly the starter, who did a stellar job despite having a 15-time-major winner watching on.
With Tiger by his side, Charlie opened the tournament with a score of one-over par, closing with a triple-bogey to leave us questioning what on earth his caddie must have doing.
After taking on looper duties, Tiger is expected to tee up with Charlie at the PNC Championship in December as we await the legend’s highly anticipated return from injury.
Before that, Tiger will be pairing with Rory McIlroy in the seventh edition of The Match, with the business partners take on Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.
