Haeran Ryu is one of Korea’s leading lights, with multiple LPGA Tour titles to her name.

Born in March 2001 in the Yeongam-gun province of the Republic of Korea, Ryu took up the game early, and had a stellar amateur career, which included appearances at the Asian Games, and a victory in the Korean Women’s Amateur. She turned professional in 2019, and took the LPGA Tour of Korea by storm.

She was named Rookie of the Year following the 2020 season, and she would go on to win five times on the tour before graduating to the LPGA Tour for the start of the 2023 season. History would repeat itself, as she took her maiden victory that year and went on to be named the LPGA Tour’s Rookie of the Year. Ryu has three LPGA victories so far, along with five top-ten finishes in the majors.
