The Presidents Cup cycle has come around again. We’re on Canadian turf at Royal Montreal and the Internationals have another chance to end their rotten run against the Americans.

Despite a fun final round at Quail Hollow in 2022, Team USA under Davis Love III took the cup home for the ninth time in a row. The International side is desperate for a victory, which would be only their second since the first edition of the President’s Cup in 1994.

Mike Weir has taken the reins of the golden shield this week, against Jim Furyk who is captaining the away side and who also led the Americans to defeat at the 2018 Ryder Cup in Paris.

Despite the International’s constant failure in the tournament, Weir had a special moment in 2007 when he beat Tiger Woods in the Sunday singles at Royal Montreal Golf Club when the venue hosted the Presidents Cup for the first time. The former Masters champion made five appearances at the event and was part of the draw in 2003 when it was decided the cup would be shared in South Africa.

Furyk made seven appearances for Team USA at the Presidents Cup. His debut came in 1998 when the Internationals won for the first and only time at Royal Melbourne Golf Club.

In 2024, Team USA own Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele who won three of the four majors this year. Bryson DeChambeau won the US Open, but his LIV Golf allegiances make him ineligible.

The Internationals are without Cameron Smith for the same reasons, so the likes of Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott will be looking to lead the team for that longed-for glory at the event.

Below, we will have the tee times and pairings across this four-day team match play event of fourballs and foursomes.
