Presidents Cup 2026 teams confirmed! Who is heading to Medinah Country Club?

Which players have qualified for the Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club in September?

Despite the one-sided nature of the Presidents Cup, you can’t beat four days of team match play and a singles finale.

The International team, represented by the best players outside of Europe and the USA, face the USA, but since the first match in 1994, the Internationals have won just once.

There has also been one tie in the 14 editions of the event. So it is fair to say America has enjoyed much success in the tournament, which continued at Royal Montreal in 2024.

Jim Furyk led his side to a convincing 18.5-11.5 victory at Royal Montreal two years ago, overcoming an International sweep of day two to claim their 10th consecutive Presidents Cup. Geoff Ogilvy and Brandt Snedker will take the reins as captains at Medinah, with Ogilvy seeking to finally secure an international win on foreign soil.

The 2026 Presidents Cup will be held from September 24-27, and the qualifying criteria in the Presidents Cup standings were as follows…

How do you qualify?

Six players have automatically qualified for each team, and the captains chose the remaining half of each 12-man roster.

Members of Team USA earned qualifying points based on a weighted FedEx Cup points system calculated between January 1, 2025, and August 23, 2026. The top six on the points list after the 2026 BMW Championship made the team.

The International team used the Official World Golf Ranking to determine their top six spots. All OWGR points earned through the 2026 BMW Championship determined the first six automatic qualifiers.
