Presidents Cup 2024 standings: Who is heading to Royal Montreal?

Which players will qualify for the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal in September?

Despite the one-sided nature of the Presidents Cup, you can’t beat four days of team match play and a singles finale.

The International team, represented by the best players outside of Europe and the USA, face the USA but since the first match in 1994, the Internationals have won just once.

There has also been one tie in the 14 editions of the event. So it is fair to say America has enjoyed much success in the tournament which continued at Quail Hollow in 2022.

Davis Love III’s Americans beat Trevor Immelman’s spirited International side by five points. Former Masters champion Mike Weir will lead the home team at Royal Montreal in Canada later this year against the new US captain Jim Furyk.

The 2024 Presidents Cup will be held from September 26-29 and the qualifying criteria in the Presidents Cup standings are as follows:

How do you qualify?

Six players will automatically qualify for each team and the remaining half of each 12-man roster will be chosen by the captains.

Members of Team USA earn qualifying points based on a weighted FedEx Cup points system calculated between January 1, 2023, to August 24, 2024. The top six on the points list after the 2024 BMW Championship will make the team.

The International team will use the Official World Golf Ranking to determine their top six spots. All OWGR points earned through the 2024 BMW Championship will determine the first six automatic qualifiers.
