Who caddies for Scottie Scheffler?
Scottie Scheffler and his caddie have picked up many trophies together, but who is the man who carries the American’s bag?
It didn’t take long for Scottie Scheffler and Ted Scott to taste glory together.
Scott had caddied for Bubba Watson for 15 years and helped the flamboyant American to win two Green Jackets at the Masters.
Together, Scheffler and Scott did this too in 2022 and it was a victory that capped an incredible run for the man who has been World No.1 for what is approaching 100 weeks.
So when did this fruitful relationship actually begin?
Who is Scottie Scheffler’s caddie?
Scott parted ways after a long and successful time with Watson in September 2021. All in all, Watson and Scott won 12 PGA Tour trophies.
He also looped for Paul Azinger and Grant Waite before working for Bubba.
“Bubba and I are still very good friends,” he said after the split. “He sent me a message on Sunday that was very encouraging and loving. We just had some different ideas in our life of where we are and where we wanted to go.
“It was a good time for me to figure out something else to do and for him to keep doing him. That’s why I was over caddying. I had had an incredible run.”

Scheffler and Scott had become familiar through bible study sessions and when Scheffler and Watson were paired in the 2021 Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
At a time when Scott thought he was done with caddying, Scheffler gave him a ring and his head was turned.
“He called me up and said, ‘I really want to work with a Christian.’ That’s how I try to live my life,” Scott said at the time they joined forces.
“The other thing he said was, ‘I really like competing.’ I said, ‘I like competing.’ Thought it could be a fun thing. We hashed out the details.”
He’d been set on going back into golf teaching. Scott has coached various amateur players around the world, but he chose to shelve this business.
In November 2021, Scheffler and Scott shared the fairways at the RSM Classic. Fast forward to the end of April, and they’d won the WM Phoenix Open, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the WGC Dell Match Play and the Masters.
He defended his title at TPC Scottsdale in 2023 and went on to win The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.
“I just think the world of him as a person so that was why I was attracted to him just being a potential good partner for me out on the course,” Scheffler once said of his colleague.
