NCG’s Matt Chivers took a look in the Ryder Cup shop in Rome and he was pleasantly surprised with some of the hallowed items on offer…
The Ryder Cup shop is never short of footfall and this was truer than ever in 2023 at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club.
The large temporary building is located to the right of the main stage where the Opening Ceremony took place – and where a couple of popular music artists perform too.
If you’re on-site, you can’t miss it.
Just look out for a pilgrimage-sized queue edging toward a giant rectangular box, and that will be it.
Upon arrival at the Ryder Cup shop, you are met with a flurry of colour – predominantly European, but there was plenty of Team USA merchandise to go around as well.

And you know what? A lot of the clothes weren’t grossly overpriced. Believe it or not!
Of course, there were some downsides. The Laura Biagiotti aftershave was priced at €80 and a knitted-style driver headcover was €47 too.
A packet of four-ball markers would make you part with €35. However, these are souvenirs that will last you a lifetime.
But it’s the clothes we’re interested in, not the accessories, right?
If you’ve come over from across the pond and want to reward your efforts with a Team USA T-shirt, that can cost you €53, while a quarter-zip top layer will cost you €75.
As you can see in the images above, the Ryder Cup shop had some attractive designs on offer, pretty enough to help you muster up those extra pennies.

The cold weather of the autumn and winter won’t be far off, so if you’re heading back to the States, American woolly bobble hats were also available for €40.
If you’re a supporter of the home team, you were more than covered in all clothing departments. Much like the Team USA T-shirt, one for Team Europe was $53.
However, I noticed Team Europe hoodies could be found at $65. Perhaps you’re a maverick who is now confident enough to wear a hoodie on the golf course…
A European cap proudly showing Roman numerals could cost you up to €28 – a very apt product for the Italian setting.
All in all, there was a huge range of clothing options with the Ryder Cup logo to mark a special week in the history of the event.
