What are the future Ryder Cup venues?
Here is a list of future Ryder Cup venues through to 2037
It is an honour for any golf course to host the Ryder Cup.
Marco Simone Golf and Country Club will host the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome – the first time Italy has hosted the event since its inception.
The first Ryder Cup was held in 1927 at Worcester Country Club in Massachusetts and the first one held in Great Britain was at Moortown Golf Club in Leeds.
The tournament alternates from the United States to Europe to give Team USA and Team Europe a home advantage every other year.
A variety of golf courses have held the Ryder Cup and the captain of the home side is given the chance to shape the course conditions to their strengths.
America will hope to build on their crushing win over Europe at Whistling Straits two years ago with a side rich in quality and full of PGA Tour stars.
Luke Donald will hope to maintain the blue and gold side’s incredible home record. The USA haven’t won on away soil since 1993.
This shows the importance of a home crowd, so we’ve looked at which venues will host the Ryder Cup in the coming years.
