Charley Hull has admitted a women’s LIV Golf league would be “mad not to consider” if the opportunity presented itself to the LPGA Tour star in the future.
Talk of LIV expanding into the women’s game has persisted ever since the Saudi Arabia-funded series burst onto the scene earlier this year.
This was then heightened ahead of LIV Golf Bangkok, when chief executive Greg Norman confessed a women’s league is in “the forefront of my mind.”
Speaking in the aftermath of capturing her first LPGA Tour title in six years, Hull has now teased the possibility of joining LIV Golf if a women’s league comes to fruition.
“Well I haven’t heard anything yet.” Hull told Sky Sports News. “But at the end of the day I think you’d be mad not to consider it.”
The comment comes just days after the Solheim Cup star picked up $255,000 for winning the Volunteers of America Classic. By way of comparison, the 18th placed finisher at this week’s LIV event at Stonehill will be taking home the same amount.
But despite the honest admission, Hull persisted to say she ‘loves it’ on the LPGA Tour and is “pretty happy” playing there regardless of the speculation. Sounds oddly familiar…
