Caroline Campbell was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in April 1996. The daughter of Chris Campbell and Catherine Cordell, Caroline has two brothers named Collier and Green. Her Grandfather Bo Campbell was a college football star.
Caroline attended CE Byrd High School in Louisiana, where she played multiple sports alongside her brothers. She was a particularly good track and field athlete, winning the state championship in the 300-metre hurdles with a record time of 46.34.
The track star eventually attended Louisiana State University, where she would start dating Samuel Holland Burns.
Sam Burns wife: How did he and Caroline meet?
Despite attending different high schools, Sam and Caroline first met at the same church when they were just five years old.
Meeting over a decade later at Louisiana State University, the two would then start a relationship as Sam vied to become a professional golfer.
The couple eventually got engaged in April 2019 after five years of dating. Burns popped the question just before the 2019 RBC Heritage after asking Caroline’s father for permission.
“These have been some of the best days of my life so far, any time that you ask a person to spend the rest of their life with you, it’s a pretty big deal,” he said. “I hope that we’ll have many years together and grow old together and get to enjoy a lot of fun things together.”

Same Burns wife: When did he and Caroline get married?
Burns and Campbell tied the knot in December 2019 at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina. On their second wedding anniversary, Burns posted a photo on Instagram from the wedding day with the caption: “Happy two years to my bride! I couldn’t imagine doing life without you. Here’s to many more memories together with the most beautiful person I know inside and out. I love you, Caroline Burns!”
